As a new mayor, it is time to pull your head out of the sand. I suggest you volunteer at the food pantries and bank. Yes, they do provide help for some people. Unfortunately, they do not have good oversight as to who is receiving the goods. It is a great way to receive goods no matter what your income is so that you can pay for a contract on a smart phone, partially pay for car payments, use the goods for your business, support illegals, drugs, alcohol, etc. Yes, this is going on. I cannot afford a smart phone, so why would I want to support the food bank. Until the food bank has better oversight, I will not contribute.
