Bad move Gary.
Not a bad hire. Ludwig took heat at Utah because Whittingham hired him to run an offense (post Urban spread) that Ludwig was not rooted in. He was a Jeff Tedford prodigy and will run his offense (his way) at Wisconsin.
How is it possible he didn't take Brian Johnson?!?!
Why did he hire an experienced OC when he could have hired a young man who had never been an OC much cheaper?
It'll be interesting to see the Badgers move away from old school smash mouth style.
Well, at least he didn't hire Gary Crowton.
That being said, Andy certainly moves a lot. It will be interesting to see how long he stays in Wisconsin.
Anderson is a great coach but it's not like that guy that was there before was doing a bad job. Or the guy before him. Bottom line, Wisconsin plays smash mouth football and they do it well and it's part of the character of the program and the community. He needs to be careful not to change things too much. I've seen good coaches with their systems go into places and not have success because the mindset and skill set of the players is different than the vision of the new coaching staff. It will be interesting to see what happens and how patient fans and the administration will be if indeed Anderson brings in a new offensive system and it doesn't get the desired results quickly.
Hire Ludwig!
Hey, anything to get out of the Ute's program. Wisconsin is a great program and Utah is in the stagnant basement of the PAC 10.2. GOOD MOVE.
Down under, do you realize how silly you make yourself look with every post because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about, so long as you can say something negative about Utah? Utah parted ways with Ludwig 5 years ago.
StGtoSLC:
Obviously, "Down under" is one of those Y fans roscoe was talking about a few years back when he said, "The level of criticism usually matches the level of education and the fans, the people it comes from."
Corection: 4 years ago. The point remains the same.
