Most rational people recognize that these "shootings"though horribly tragic are very rare. Far, far more common in the public schools are bullying, teasing, vulgar language, phones and pads with porn, immodest dress, incompetent teachers, drugs, politically correct curriculum, etc. The day will come that most concerned parents will home school in order to protect their children from these influences, not to protect them from shootings.

Why would parents home school kids instead of getting involved and making sure their schools are doing things right? If more parents would talk to their school boards and express their feelings, and make sure schools are NOT doing the things our society deplores and blindly following the Feds ridiculous directives, that they are hiring good teachers and letting bad ones go, we might not have the issues we have now.

Don't abandon the rest of us, help us fight for what we believe. Our kids deserve that much.
