Who would want to coach D-Will, I mean Coach Killer-Will.
Avery was NBA coach of the month in November and fired in December, wow. I bet he wishes he coached the Jazz instead. You can be a bad coach in Utah and never get fired!!
I don't blame Deron Williams or Avery Johnson for their 14-14 record. But Deron's comments on how he was more comfortable in the offensive system in Utah under Sloan did cost Avery's job. They have a lot of new players on their team, which is leading to chemistry problems. The Lakers are having the same problem with the additions of Howard, Nash and Jamison. I actually blame their front office the most. Their best player Deron Williams does not fit into Avery's offensive system. Deron's poor shooting is more from not being in a offensive system that he is comfortable with. Brook Lopez is injured most of the season.
It will be interesting to see who they will sign as their coach. Phil Jackson said he doesn't want the job, I can't see Sloan coaching in Brooklyn. If Brooklyn wants to be a threat this year, they will need to find a coach that Williams is comfortable with and the rest of the team will respect and will play their best for.
I like Corbin, but the prospect of picking up Avery Johnson is intriguing.
