All in all a disappointing year in film. But I like Daniel Craig as 007.
I just watched The Well-digger's Daughter" which is a French film about a father raising 6 daughters prior to World War I. The costumes and scenery are gorgeous. It is touching and uplifting in the way it deals with a daughter who is going to have a baby but is not married to the father who is thought to be lost in the war. Has a soul-heartening ending. A feel good movie. One of my all-time favorites.
