The incredibly disproportionate level of importance placed on athletic prowess or a handsome face in high school are largely responsible for the development of a socially disconnected, isolated underclass in those schools which does not bode well. Nor does it demonstrate any real commitment to improving an education system which is performing poor academically.
Hutterite, quit reading the sports pages then. and your theory is incredibly unproven, more just your opinion, which I compltetely disagree with. We would not have many of our leaders today without sports programs and other opportunities for motivated kids to learn from.
Sorry folks. IMO. The cougars shouldn't beg anyone to come. Jabari should find it an honer, and privilege to attend BYU.
