BYU could have had 11 wins without Riley. "No regrets" huh?
Real Bass sounds like Uncle Rico predicting what might have happened...can you throw the football over the mountain?
11-0? Probably not....
Real Bass isn't the Real Bass. I am.
If byu is going to win this game they need to start Nelson.
So before the end of the world (21st) BYU will play the last bowl of the eve of destruction!
Just kidding but if Riley Nelson starts ahead of James lark, there may be a lot of BYU fans who will feel as if the end of the world is close at hand. ;p
Dream matchup? Well, for the Poinsettia, probably. It'll be interesting to see how this bowl's viewer numbers stack up against all of the other bowls when all is said and done.
BYU generally does well nationally in its football games for ESPN, which is why they like BYU. Maybe this matchup has good potential there.
Whether BYU wins or loses will be irrelevant for next year. So, cheer on and enjoy Christmas either way.
Re: WhatsInItForMe
What a Ute troll. You just played your hand to show what a troll you really are. You cannot compare the numbers from a Thursday night bowl to ones played on the weekend or even to other higher rated bowls. You can compare previous Poinsettia Bowl numbers once we have this years numbers but that is about all. At least we are playing in a bowl instead of having our season done. Granted it is only the Poinsettia Bowl but to get a tie in to any bowl as an independent is good.

You must hang out a lot with Chris B.
What a great way to end the world....BYU Football Baby. I'll go out with a smile on my face.
Any game BYU plays in is a dream come true for the bowl organizers since we have so many fans.
If BYU wants to have any kind of a shot in this game, they will start James Lark. Riley is a great human, but does not have the skills or the health to lead BYU to the win. I can't help but think what Utah St would look like had Riley stayed. Probably exactly the same as now because Gary Anderson would have had the common sense to play Chuckie Keaton.
BYU fans still hatin' on Riley. Give it a rest. Just cheer for your team already. I hope when Lark does play, he plays well, or he'll find out how fast you go from Hero to villain. Cheer for your whole team!!

No, you CAN compare Thr night games to all others. And that's the point. If it ranks in the upper 3rd or 4th, then it WAS a good matchup, because it'll have gotten more than it might have with other teams that night in that bowl.
And, no, I'm not a Ute troll. Just being realistic about this dismal year.
The REAL Ernest T. Bass was a funny actor/director and producer. You, have stolen his name. You have not been original. You are not funny. But thanks for playing. There is only one Ernest T. Bass, and you ain't him.
