Wouldn't it be a nice development if Gary Anderson picked Brandon Doman to take the now open offensive coordinator's position maybe even offering Riley Nelson the job of his QB coach? Oh but coach Anderson probably has the sense to go with a guy having a solid set of success behind him. Great win tonight, and what a turnaround, just the second bowl win in history. It's extremely impressive when you look at the historical culture of losing that has been the Aggies for decades. I followed the Butch Jones saga with Colorado Univ last week, he could have taken the job with a guaranteed $32 million. The challenge to reverse the 10+ years of losing concluding with possibly being the worst college football team in 2012 was daunting as he had previously replaced Brian Kelly who had teams so good they got him promoted. Gary Anderson inherited nothing but a well maintained small stadium, he would have my vote for COY.
Sanford was not the Aggies OC but coached the running backs and tight ends. He was however, the assistant head coach. Wish he could of stayed but he wanted to be a head coach .
As for Doman we will pass. Who knows maybe Riley can be hired to be an assistant OC and Doman and Riley, hand in hand, lead the Cougars offense for years to come.
