I'm disappointed Herbert is spending state money to bring in a Boston-based firm (NO question what the result will be) when he can just listen to his CONSTITUENTS who loudly proclaim "say NO to Obamacare!" But then I guess he feels he doesn't need to worry until the convention in 3-1/2 years.
The problem with Republicans pushing against Obamacare is that if the Federal Government ends up with a majority of the states pushing it back to the Feds is that it allows them to institute a single payer option. This is the bane of all Republicans as the Government would then be in control of all aspects of healthcare.
Only by the States instituting Obamacare will the decisions be kept at state level. Once rejected, the Feds will control it.
This will drastically reduce medical costs for everyone as the Federal Government will guarantee coverage. Many insurance companies will go out of business as they can't compete. Prescription drug costs will go down due to mandates from Washington.
Democrats have pushed single payer for decades and it seems that the Republicans are going to give the Country single payer healthcare by refusing to adopt their options in Obamacare.
Smart move Republicans. Remember, you brought it on yourself.
