Yeah we're doing that with State Farm here in AZ. The real shock comes when you find out that you do in fact drive a lot of miles each month and your rates go up.
Insurance companies are in business to make money, not lower rates.
So while a small percentage may drive fewer miles each year, like my elderly mother, I'm sure most of us drive way more than we realize.
It's not worth it. Why give up one of the last freedoms we have?
