After reading this story, it never ceases to amaze me how cheap human lives have become.
Killing two women and on drugs and all he gets is five days in jail?
Thats justice?
Unbelievable!
The guy has priors...
Kills two women...
Tampers with evidence...
5 days...
Justice?
It is a good thing he didn't run over a protected desert tortoise. He would have received a more lengthy punishment.
The most endangered animal in Utah is a pedestrian. Since the pedestrians were not in a cross walk, they were fair game and subject to being run over in the eyes of Utah law. Time to recall this judge?
How come "the born" aren't valued in Utah?
Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill
Third District Judge Elizabeth Hruby-Mills
Remember those name next election day – and vote them OUT!
"We went with what we could prove"? Is Gill serious? The guy killed two people while under the influence. That is Automobile Homicide, a 3rd degree felony. Two counts.
Hey Sim, quit being a lawyer. There are juries for a reason. If you can't prove an obviously open and shut case, then it is time for you to find a new job, along with your prosecutors.
Five days in jail. What a hopeless miscarriage of justice. So far, I'm not at all impressed with Gill. The Republicans need to find a good lawyer to run against him next time.
