That was cute how Chris B came on here at halftime to brag. He never fails to curse his team. Chris next time your beloved Utes are ahead in a game, just stay calm and wait until the end before you post this stuff. Nevermind, the entertainment value is pretty good for all of us...

    @I Bleed Blue

It seems the 'Christmas miracle' happened at the MC.

Utah led the entire game, BYU needed one of those BYU miracles to eke out to win at home.

    35 Utah
    26 byu

I knew we would win, but byu is even worse than I thought.

Great defense UTES!! Dominated Boise with some great defense and now for a half at MC. Keep dominating the paint and boards.

Win or lose, one thing is for sure Utah looks much improved this year.

BYU's offense is built around outside shooting.

    Unfortunately, they can't shoot.

Add in poor defense, and it's hard to win games.

I'm not the least bit worried about the game. Utah has this one in the bag. byu is simply a middle of the WCC team. And Utah is a middle of the Pac 12 team.

Sorry byu fans, you'll be going home sad tonight.

Chris B is hoping for a 'Christmas miracle.' Not happening tonight. BYU by 10.

I'm Chris B's closeted alter ego and I would like to make a revised prediction:

    BYU -- 82
Provisional, ugly stepchild, doormat of the PAC10.2 -- 51

Aren't the cougies the number 1 ranked team in the country? Aren't they unbeaten battling for 1 seed in NCAA tournament? Wait how do they have 3 loses? Ducky and SammyG told us how they were the greatest basketball program in NCAA. Whats going here there is no way Ducky and SammyG could be wrong is there?

First in football they talk about being so superior to Utah yet lose to them for the 3rd straight year and 8 of last 11. Then prior to basketball they tell us all Utah is worst program in NCAA and the Cougies the best although they haven't been past the sweet 16 in over 30 years. You have to love it when Ducky and Sammy are continously proved wrong...LOL!

My guess this is a good game between the worst team and best team in NCAA according to Ducky/SammyG.

My guess Utah 69 Cougies 66....GO UTES!

Go Utes! I'm still loving all the work that they are putting in, and it is showing on the court! Coach Krystco is doing an awesome job! Let's have another awesome game and beat the Cougs!

    Go Utes!

This game will really give the Utes a better idea of where their team is. Utes loss to Sac St was a surprise. Utes win at Boise St was a surprise. But their record is exactly where I thought it would be at this point with one of the easiest non-conference schedules.

The Cougs are not quite as good as I thought they'd be - mostly at PG. I think they will still battle with St Mary's for 2nd / 3rd in the WCC and get a double digit NCAA bid. But I really thought Carlino would have a breakout Sophomore campaign and become a premiere PG. Last year he had some amazing games (Baylor, SF) and some duds. This year I have yet to see anything other than an okay game from him. It's time for a breakout game!

BYU also needs to find a lockdown perimeter defender. We've had Emery and Abouo who filled that roll, but this year I don't see anyone who has stepped up. I'm still wishing Harrison was back on the team at the 2 spot, to fill the role.

Cougsrock, that's right, I almost forgot again that BYU doesn't get beat by other teams, they only beat themselves, especially in 4/5 varsity competitions against Utah so far this year.

Dixie Child, that's a pretty sweeping generalization for somebody 300 miles away to make. Good luck to "your" team tonight.

Its funny how many Ute fans still do not care about their basketball team. There are the die hard fans that do, but the casual fans (or those who just like Utah because they don't like BYU), they pretend the basketball program doesn't exist.

Who would've thought going in to this game that the Utes would have the better record? My how quickly things have changed. I think it'll make for a very competitive game tonight and that's always very exciting for the fans. Glad the Utes are coming alive after a lengthy hiatus but I'm still rooting for the Cougs to come out on top.

    Go Cougars!

Ocoug. Wrong. BYU will have to play the worse game of the year to lose.

At the first of the season (especially after Utah's loss to Sac St.) I thought this game would be a BYU gimmie. Now it has taken on a different feel, the Cougars are going to have to continue to play well at home in order to down the Utes. Kryskowiak is doing a great job at the U. I still think the Y comes out with the win, but it could be close.
