Close calls? Certainly, but the Lord doesn't "almost" bless. He does, and did bless. I don't believe in coincidences.

"We were living in our tiny three-bedroom condo at the time"- yes so very tiny- a larger space of course than 90% of the worlds population lives in and with internal heating, cooling, and potable water but that of course is not the blessing- not burning the soup is- yes we are so blessed in comparison

I have always found it interesting how some people take good things that happens to them as a sign of blessings. And they also think bad things that happen to them as a trial and tribulation that is meant to test them. So in other words no matter what happens to them it is a sign from above. Don't some things by sheer chance just happen to people??? I think so.

I totally agree with you. People can seem very arrogant and ignorant when they talk about the size of their house.

What some people refer to as "blessings", most people refer to as "life".
Belief or no belief, the same things happen to people every day.
