This article is presenting an invalid account of the shopping this year and the sum quoted as increased spending over last year is a matter of inflation and not prosperity. If inflation is put in perspective then the real picture emerges, a lot less shopping and shoppers than last year. Inflation is taking its toll on sales and shopper budget restrictions. Products this year are 25% higher than last year so do some better math and stop trying to make our depression into someithing its not.

By the standards the news media and business use they would make the 1,000,000,000 mark loaf of bread in Germany in WWII as increased economic consumer trust in government and higher income jobs out there. All government, business, and media statistics are so manipulated not a single one is willing to accept the truth. The people are living the truth of the depression in the economy, all other evaluations are manipulate and bogus.

This evaluators should go visit some stores and malls and talk to retail store managers to get a birds eye view of the facts and how depressed the economy is.
