It's obvious from the photo that this crash would have been survivable if occupants of the vehicle had been wearing safety belts.
As one who spent many years riding ambulances, I shudder every time I read something like this and think of the family grieving because of the lack of a few seconds to make the belt go "Click."
The last four fatals I ran on were all partial ejections.
When will people learn. Teens think themselves invincible and some cases think it's "Cool" to skip clicking the belts.
I wish there was some way to require that every new driver spend at least a month riding with a busy ambulance crew.
