I couldn't be any more proud of this team for all of their hard work and
dedication. Here is to continued success and a prosperous future in
the Mountain West Conference!
Well said. Go Aggies.
Just too awesome. And while the wins are impressive and the major component
here, the two away games they barely lost to solid teams are surely a factor as
well.Congrats, Aggies! You've believed, and worked hard, and
earned these votes!
Goodbye Coach Andersen. This will be a nice stepping stone for you to get to a
better school elsewhere.
Just don't say it md.... It's probably inevitable, but maybe he will
stay longer than some fear.....
I guess it is human nature to look for negatives when faced with success.
Coaches and/or key players could be gone at any given moment. Why rain on
today's parade? This coaching staff has done a miraculous job of
recruiting, teaching and developing a first class team. All of the pieces are
in place for USU to compete at the top of the MWC in the future. It is a great
time to be an Aggie. Enjoy it!!!
As long as we're basking....couldn't we bask at a bowl game that has a
beach near by?
Ironmomo: Are you going if they do? All things being equal (money and tv
exposure) I would rather have 10,000 fans in Boise than 1000 fans in Florida.
md: The USU football job is not the stepping stone it used to be.
A lot has changed in Logan. 1. Administration that supports football.
2.Upgrade in facilities. 3. Competitive coaches salaries (still need to bring up
assistant salaries) 4. Conference Stability ( MT West) 5. Winning Program!! 6.
Top 25 ranking 7. Chuckie is only a sophomore! Depth on the o and d line!,
young and talented Linebacker core, As good as we are this year we have a
chance to be even better the next couple of years. A player like Chuckie Keeton
doesn't come a long every year. The next couple years are set up to be
special. Gary Anderson has said from the day he got this job that Logan and USU
has every thing he needs to be successful. He says he loves it in Logan and I
"...It wasn’t that long ago that those kind of numbers (1000 people)
wouldn’t be uncommon for home games during past seasons."Kraig, there was no need for this kind of fabrication. You'd have to go
back to the early 1900's to find a game where only 1000 people attended.
I've been going since 1966 and I've only seen two games of less than
10,000, and both were in near blizzards. While it is true that the Aggie
faithful could do a much better job supporting their team, attendance is up over
last year. You don't build a following based on one year (2011)of winning.
Utah went many years with people dressed as empty seats before they began to
fill their stadium. If you had any idea of attending one game this
year and haven't, then now is the time to step up. We need to fill Romney
this week against Ideeho just to show our support of some young men that have
gutted it out through the lean times so that they could reach the pinnacle this
year.Congrats Coach Andersen, the coaches and this year's
Aggies. You have done us proud!
The Aggies have paid their dues and have proven they are currently the best team
in the state, without question. They are the only one to have beaten a ranked
team this year. On top of that, they are only 2 relatively short missed field
goals away from actually being undefeated and ranked in the top 10. As it is,
just being nationally ranked is great!Having consistently watched USU,
UofU, and BYU games this year, I can unconditionally state that the Aggies have
been the most fun and entertaining to watch. Riley might even be second guessing
himself for leaving at this point. It's not much fun playing on ESPN with a
national audience if you can't beat teams with winning records. Only USU
has. Both Utah and BYU have struggled this year while USU has truly blossomed.
Way to go Aggies!! My sincerest congratulations to Coach Andersen (may
your stay be a long one), his staff, and the entire team!
"Goodbye Coach Andersen. This will be a nice stepping stone for you to get
to a better school elsewhere."mdCache, UTMD, There
is no better school elsewhere. Might be bigger, faster, stronger, and more
money, but not better. It will take a lot for Gary to leave. It's no
longer an easy choice to leave. Thanks goes to Coach A and his staff and
President Albrecht and AD Barnes.
