Watching this game I thought it was very one sided as far as officiating. Florida could litterally tomahawk chop us and no foul, yet we breath on them wrong it was a foul. The defensive foul on Davies at the end was a bad call especially when one just like it went the other way on the other end. That foul trouble put the Cougars in bad situation from the start. Don't get me wrong not sure if BYU wins anyway, Florida State is very good but it would have been nice to see something a little more straight up.

Fouls were pretty even. 26 for BYU and 23 for Florida.

When I read the final score in the third paragraph of the article I jumped over to the comments to make sure some Coogie fan had blamed the 18 point loss on the refs! Very relieved that the first one took care of my concern.

Now we can return to the comments about heading to the final four.

Continue please.

The problem is that there is not enough grit on the basketball team.

BYU lost this game because FSU shot the ball better, rebounded better and played better defense than BYU did. The refs didn't call one offensive foul the entire game (even though there were many on both sides) but its the players who need to adjust their play to how the game is being called! For BYU this will serve them well as a learning experience and a tune up game for the future.

And it didn't take a idiot Ute fan lone to comment on a Cougar article. If you know anything about the game you don't count fouls to see if it's even you look at what they don't call for both teams. And I know you guys have a difficult time reading I didn't say that I thought BYU would've won the game but if would have been nice to see when you don't allow Florida St. to constantly slap the arms and push guys to steal the ball. Byu has a ways to go but atleast not as far as the Utes.

Mountanman... Davies first foul was a charge -- offensive foul.

Refs had nothing to do with the outcome. Carlino, on the other hand, 0-9 with bonehead shots. Zylstra with poor shooting, and the list goes on. Carlino needs to sit a while and get his head into the game. He can and must play much better.

We do see a complete ball player in Haws. Very good. Very impressive. Davies is also very good and made some great plays. His tall teammates have got to make the opposition pay with Davies gets small fouls.

Another hater mentioned talk of Final Four... nonsense. I've heard no one mention that. This team is good and light years ahead of the little team up north in SLC, but so what. They'll be back, just not this year after losing to Sac State at home. BYU could win 20+ games. Maybe a win or two max in NCAA. But, with Haws...
