Great season to both these teams! Jordan is so fun to watch play. And with all the underclassmen, I could possibly seeing them breaking into the top 25 in the nation for next year. Congrats to coach Kjar on a great season! Also regardless of the beatdown today, congrats to Syracuse on a great season up until today and beating Alta and Bingham. I love high school football!

Looks like everyone attending this game would have been more entertained had they attended the 2A championship game between San Juan and Manti.

Embarrassing -one team didn't even show up.

Watching these teams warm up....Syracuse seemed like the weren't excited to play.... Jordan obviously was!

Sometimes outcomes can't be easily explained. A fast start by Jordan and a couple key errors by Syracuse quickly snowballed into an avalanche. I'm a Syracuse fan. That said, if a healthy Syracuse team played Jordan 10 times, I think Jordan would probably win 9, maybe all 10. They are a great team. However, I doubt any of the other 9 games would have a result anything close to today's. It's too bad that Syracuse's worst game and Jordan's best happened on the biggest stage. The final score looks bad, but there are 22 5A teams that did not make it to the final game. Syracuse did. Props to the Titans and their outstanding coaches for reaching the final, and congratulations to Eric Kjar and the Beetdiggers for winning (deserving) the gold. They are easily the best team in Utah.

Jordan won't be as successful next year... they won't have the offensive line they had this year, they're all gone. Granted, Kafentzis and co. are all great players, but they don't get there without that Oline just manhandling everyone they played. They could have run two plays the whole game, and no one could have stopped it. That's essentially what they've done the whole playoffs. They almost made it unfair. We'll see how good they are next year when all those guys are gone. They had a luxury this year of being behind one of the best lines in the country. Hats off to them, should be entertaining to see next year.

Those were kind words RVB- Syracuse has nothing to be ashamed about. They beat legit teams this year and just ran into a team that was steamrolling everyone. There's not much a team can do against an offensive line like Jordans- you know whats coming, but you can't stop it. Sad to see the season come to an end.

Today's outcome wasn't difficult to explain. It just helped put some perspective back to the last couple of weeks. Nonetheless congrats to both teams but especially to Jordan on a really fine season capped with a title.

They will just go out and find some more 18 year old sophmores and keep doing what they do. Hats off to them they were truly an outstanding team especially the o line.

That defense was really... something?

I was hoping for a good fight from the Titans. I was happy for them to be in the final. Hopefully the next time this two teams meet up in the same predicament that the Titans will bring shovels with longer blades to expose the beets roots.

jordan has an awesome team. Im still trying to figure out how to stop their offense. I told someone today it looked like the was a JR college team playing in the championship game. Syracuse had a geat season and did what they wanted to accomplish and more. Im sorry you Jordan fans wanted a tougher opponent, sorry there wasnt we already beat them. Your number 2 team in the region got beat by Syracuse. Maybe you could finish the game with East or Timpview over the thanksgiving holiday and decide who's the best team in the state. Jordan is the king for a year and you have an awesome team and a bigger target on your back. Syracuse now returns a seasoned team to make a run next year with more experienced players. I knoww people thought they didnt have a tough schedule the whole year but I think they answered most of the critics. Dont feel sorry because you beat them. Prepare you team like ya did this year, there will be plenty of teams knocking on your door. We will be one of them. Congrats on a awesome year best team in the state.

Jordan has some great players that get the headlines, but I thought Jordan's O-Line and d-line were amazing. That is where the game was dominated.

Well, like i predicted jordan would win. I just thought that it would be closer, I know jordan is really good, and they would of still won no matter what but that was not the Syracuse team i remember watching. They are better then that. Maybe they just got to overwhelmed with it. I don't know. Good job Jordan for taking advantage of all the mistakes and stuff. You guys are really good, i just thought that Syracuse would of at least shown up.

Jordan's domination of the 5A shows that they are the best team in the state and will be nationally ranked. No 4A team could play with them! So please, don't do the "comparison" thing!

Syracuse Defense gets to state, and gives up 24, 16, and 56 to all the salt Lake schools!

Keep playing that Tough region 1 and not prepare your selfs for actuall teams until the playoffs!

Fremont was also undefeated and lost by 30 to Lone Peak last year.

Congrats on the 12-1 season with a 54 point drubbing syracuse!
Way to not have any emotion, but against Bingham you clearly played! ha
Bingham ain t the all mighty!

I said it all year Jordan is stacked and there line just pushed that same defensive line who destroyed my miners last week!

Knew this would be a blow out! It could of been 100!

So much for the defense!

Good to see Timpview and Jordan win state titles, isn't it? Two teams that build their programs with the highest level of character and integrity. Two teams that follow the UHSAA rules to a "T". Great to see the good guys in Utah finish first.

What a great world we live in, isn't it?

Nice to see Binghamalum surface again. I thought after Syracuse took down the mighty miners we wouldnt hear from you. How do you guys look for next year? Maybe we can play again. That would be awesome. All we do is reload and play weak teams until we hit you again next year. Lets start the lifting weights for next year. Merry Christmas dude. Hope Santa brings you some good news for next year.

Ha! binghamalum is back. What happened man? Why were you gone all this time. It couldn't have had anything to do with Bingham loosing could it? Way to not accept defeat. Syracuse won and you still say they suck. Well guess what? That team that lost by 56 in the finals beat Bingham and Alta. So you shouldn't be say Syracuse still sucks. Because its kind of obvious that the syracuse that bingham and Alta played is not the same syracuse as the one Jordan played. And by the way Fremont was not undefeated last year. They lost to Jordan and east. With that said, nice to see you have come back.

Who is the guilty party that began that ridiculous rumor that Austin Kafentzis is an 18 year old sophomore?!? People, he is 16... I have seen his date of birth. Please stop using that poor excuse to justify your team's defeats. He beat my Hawks, too, and I had to sit and listen to people in the stands spouting that rumor to excuse the Hawks' loss, too. He really is just that freakin' talented! It's impressive, and he will break every QB record in this state by the end of his junior year. He deserves respect and credit for how hard he has worked.
