What a terrible tragedy. Maybe we could store things like gasoline and chemicals out of reach- somewhere safer. Children do not have much common sense, but they do have a lot of curiosity. No blame, just a thought for those of us who are older.
The parents of one of these boys is setting up a fund to cover medical expenses.
Where are the people who shout about "Personal Responsibility" and about how "Socialized Medicine" will kill all of us if we approve of the Affordable Care Act?
Is this family lazy? Are they irresponsible?
No. They are just like a vast number of other American families who are suddenly faced with a serious medical situation that they cannot afford.
Is it because they couldn't afford premiums for health insurance? Premiums jacked up to outlandish levels because other people who can't afford to pay for their own medical care are supported by the rest of us.
This is a prime reason WHY America needs Affordable Health Care.
But I guess the conservative way is to continue forcing families to go begging for help when tragedy strikes.
Can someone please tell me how that makes any sense at all?
"one old man" - That's a very good point.
I guess that family is now one of the 47% percent, that Mitt Romney classifies as "takers".
Where did the kids get the lighter that was used to start the fire? Is it customary for children that age to be carrying a lighter?
