I hope this kid gets a championship for his brothers but if not his brothers would still be proud
State Championships are great, but this kid already has figured out a lesson many in this life never figure out.
"Our Heavenly Father sees our real potential. He knows things about us that we do not know ourselves. He prompts us during our lifetime to fulfill the measure of our creation, to live a good life, and to return to His presence.
Why, then, do we devote so much of our time and energy to things that are so fleeting, so inconsequential, and so superficial? Do we refuse to see the folly in the pursuit of the trivial and transient?
Perhaps we should be looking less with our eyes and more with our hearts. I love the quote: 'One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes'." - Pres. Utchdorf
This kid is mature beyond reason. Good luck to him, his family and his teammates this week.
