I wonder if anyone else will receive the punishment Wong received. I bet not...because no one in the state auditor's office will have a personal axe to grind against any of the "auditees."
All 4 Head Coaches will need to be fired, just as Wong was. If not, then Wong should sue for a lot of money. Or they should hire him back, give him back his lost wages and benefits, and be required to make a public apology in the Dnews and Herald.
It's pretty obvious that the problem here has been the lack of leadership and training from up top. How and why are we punishing teachers and coaches when administrators aren't establishing policies, aren't training their employees these policies, and aren't providing oversight?
Can we begin to fire administrators instead of teachers finally?
Can of Worms!
Ok let's be fair....
Let's go on a witch hunt starting at Davis. Doesn't matter if his administration gave him permission or not to use money. Didn't matter if Wong got everything cleared. Coach Bishop will be first to be fired. Then lets move South.
Applications will be taken by say....feb 1 2013.....
I think that all schools should be looked at. I would like to know where all the money that we pay for my son to play football and baseball goes. I think that more than half of the audited programs coaches would be canned. Especially if the same rules apply to them that they used to fire Coach Wong. My sons "free" education costs me over 2000.00 per year. And these are only the athletic fees. It's getting out of hand!
You people fail to realize the audit that was done at Davis High was for the marching band, there was no audit done for athletics. People need to get their facts straight before posting such thing as to firing a coach.
