@Red Headed Stranger
"inflation is high. "

That's not true, it's been near 2% a year under Obama.

"Funny enough, the citizens of the country attack and kill the Americans that helped freed them"

You must've missed the large gatherings in the streets in the days after the attack where Libyans expressed sorrow for the attacks and condemned the attacks on our embassy. Most Libyans support the US. It was the radicals who launched the attack, the radicals are in the minority. I'll just assume you're too busy exploiting a tragedy to actually pay attention to the situation.

"This country is in a pit"

33+ straight months of private sector job gains...

"At this borrowing rate, in four more years he will have borrowed us an SUV, not a midsized four door."

The annual deficit has decreased each of the past 3 years under Obama (2010 2011 2012 budgets).

The whining is unbelieveable! The doom and gloom crowd is out in force. No wonder America rejected your vision of things. You left a mess when your guy left office in 2008, handed it to Obama who has made good progress in addressing your mess, and then you blame him for the mess YOU created. You are mad because he did not clean up your mess fast enough, even though you fought every effort to fix things. The apocolyptic predictions are absurd beyond belief. Grow up, people. If there is a threat to the nation, it comes from the right wing.

I would like to suggest that everyone commenting on this thread, keep a copy and look at it four years from now. Doing the same for your favorite pundit(s) might be equally enlightening.

#6 -District of Columbia
#7 - New York
#8 - Minnesota

In fact the top fifteen welfare states are, with two exceptions, Democrat.

Which of those states went red on election day? - Tennessee

The only downers on this day is that Hatch and Herbert won.

To "Salsa Libre" maybe the Republicans will treat Obama just like the Democrats treated Bush. Hopefully, they won't do that, but instead will work for what is best for the US, and not for Obama's plans that so far have given us the following:

Downgraded national credit rating, 2 times
Billions lost to bailouts
increased cost of health insurance
increased cost of government regulation
emboldened enemies
US aid given to known terrorist organizations
Printing our way to prosperity
Government sponsored gun running to Mexico
The preventable death of an ambassator.
A polarized nation
Lowest labor participation rate since 1980
7.8% unemployment afer starting with 7.2%
$5 Trillion in new debt in less than 4 years.
Wars in Africa
Warrentless wiretapping being made legal
Authorization to detain citizens indefinately
Bush policies on steroids.

Downgraded national credit rating, 2 times - GOP debt ceiling block
Billions lost to bailouts - GOP started
increased cost of health insurance - Been increasing for years
increased cost of government regulation - subjective
emboldened enemies - like Bin Laden?
US aid given to known terrorist organizations - Blah blah
Printing our way to prosperity - been happening for years
The preventable death of an ambassator. - handled poorly by Obama Admin
A polarized nation - this is new?
Lowest labor participation rate since 1980. Lost 4 million jobs in first 6 months. Obamas fault?
7.8% unemployment afer starting with 7.2% - see above
$5 Trillion in new debt in less than 4 years.
Wars in Africa
Warrentless wiretapping being made legal - GOP implemented program
Authorization to detain citizens indefinately - GOP implemented program
Bush policies on steroids. - Yes, but you all loved bush at the time.

I will admit that Obama is a lot like Bush. Funny how suddenly Bush policies are socialistic.

To "JoeBlow" I don't think you understand much aboout what Obama has overseen. The downgraded credit could have been avoided by NOT SPENDING so much in the first place. The 2008 canidate Obama said that $400 billion deficits were unpatriotic, what does that make his deficits?

The bailouts were started with the aid of President elect/Senator Obama.

Insurance increased by 10% because of Obamacare

July 2011, the Obama administration added regulations cost businesses $9.5 billion

Enemies like Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, Hamas.

Quantitative easing, printing money to cover debt, started under Obama.

Look at the research, the nation is the most polarized it has seen in decades, see reports by PBS, CNN, and others

Labor participation rate is the number of people working plus looking to work. People are giving up on employment.

The Warrentles wiretapping was to have ended, but Obama made it permanent.

Obama authorized the indefinate detention program. See "With Reservations, Obama Signs Act to Allow Detention of Citizens" at ABC news.

I didn't love Bush at the time. Bush screwed up things too, you just didn't realize that the conservatives were yelling at him too.

For all the BoM analogies, remember when the entire nation "went" Lamanite...

When you place your trust in political gods, this is what you get. Check your budget four years from now. Your kids will still have college debt and be even less religious. Nice job, America.

RE: atl134", Funny enough, the citizens of the country attack and kill the Americans that helped freed them"
(Benghazi),This was in the middle of the business day in Washington, so everybody at the White House, CIA, Pentagon, everybody was watching this go down,” said Retired Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer. “According to my sources, yes, [Obama] was one of those in the White House Situation Room in real-time watching this.”
The issue is always political with the White House, but the secretary of defense gives the order, has to be approved by the White House, they wouldn’t pull the trigger, and it’s disgraceful,” said military analyst Col. David Hunt. “We’ve got guys dead.”

In 1969-70, I guarded airplanes in Thailand(635th SPS) there were firefights in the jungle and a couple buildings were blown up on the flight-line.

The only comfort I had was if we came under heavy attack the Army Airborne was nearby to support us and singha beer.. It never occurred to me that they would stand down.

Marget Thatcher once said "the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." Greece and Portugal are already there. We are getting close. Mike in Sandy, what is the point of electing Hillary in 2016 if there is nothing left to steal?

To all you Obama voters, and lovers,

Hope I'm wrong about him. I'd rather be a fool than to live in a destroyed country. There's no George Bush to blame anymore, just Congress, and who ever else that can be found.

We'll see who is smiling in the next four years when the secrets of Obama care is revealed.

GOP - Listen to Huntsman, not the far right, or the religious right. I am a fiscally conservative, social moderate independent voter. There are lots of us out there, and we are reluctantly voting for democrats. I think that Romney wanted to be a good, moderate president. His record in Mass. is probably most telling of how he would have governed. But he had to go so far right to appease the so-called "base" that it was hard to trust that he really was a moderate by the time it came to the general election.
The far right is like Darth Vader, "come to the dark side, let your anger control you." I hope the GOP does not listen
Finally, Chaffez's comment that Romney would have worked with the GOP on "state lands" reveals a concern I had with Romney. Because of his ties to Utah's GOP, he might have let Utah steal federal lands. (Look up the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and the Utah Enabling Act). Utah cannot afford them. How would another $40m in firefighting costs for the state have felt this summer? And it would jeopardize our recreation industry and quality of life.

Congratulations, America. Obama is now completely free to be who he truly is. No more accountability to voters; no more worrying about swing state polls; no more having to tell the current Russian dictator "patience, I have to wait to give you what you want until the American people can't fire me any more".

This may be a real blessing in disguise in the long run, since we're about to see what a truly progressive, radical-left administration is capable of doing without fear of being fired. Perhaps that is what it will take to finally wake America up to the evils of socialist progressivism...because I fear that is exactly where Obama is going to go.

So congratulations, America. Or at least the 50% who voted for him. You own this. Obama owns the economy lock, stock & barrel. No more excuses. No more blaming Bush. Oh, I'm sure he'll try when the inevitable malaise sets in. But perhaps only then will America wake up and find out that voting for Santa Claus means you have to pay for your stocking stuffers & presents in the end. And the cost may be more than you can ever afford.

"The annual deficit has decreased each of the past 3 years under Obama (2010 2011 2012 budgets)."

You are wrong. From the Whitehouse's website, the document called
Fiscal Year 2013; Historical Tables; Budget of the US Government

Table 1.1 pg 23

2010 1.293 trillion
2011 1.299
2012 1.326 (estimate)
As you can see, 2010 to 2012 the deficit increased each year. Look for at least 4-5 trillion more in 4 more years

Yes, but the Ambassador is still dead, and American warplanes stopped Libyan bombers from leveling the town and they still attacked. Bush removed a murderous tyrant from Iraq and Al-Qaida moved in to attack Americans. Iraqi millitants are in the minority also. Yet it is ok to politicize Iraq and Katrina but not ok to question Libya and Sandy? When then is it ok evaluate and point out Obama missteps?

"33+ straight months of private sector job gains.."

The Unemployment rate is still higher than when he took office, and that is even before considering the workforce participation rate, which means unemployment is really above 10%. Less than 100K a month won't keep pace with population growth.
