One party State Government marches on roughly along mormon/non-mormon lines. Is our predominant culture so imbedded that Utah can never really sustain a state democracy form of government? Yes, we vote but so do the sunnis and shias but rarely out of lockstep. I have known several Utah democrats become republicans because there was no hope for public service in state government as a democrat.
