Nice win for Utah. The bowl hopes are still alive. Well other than their bowl win they already got against BYU. My favorite part was going for two when up by 30+.
Wins over:
* Northern Colorado
* Cal
* Washington State
* Colorado
* Maybe Washington
A bowl is in sight.
I was very pleased with their effort tonight. Yes, Washington State may be the worst team in the pac12 but they are still a team with talented, athletic players, and we beat them easily. I liked seeing more passes over the middle, the play calling is getting better every game, and so is the play execution. It's amazing to see what this defense is capable of when they aren't dog tired from being on the field all day long! Though still a stretch, 7-5 is looking more plausible with each game they play. I was most glad to see the first stringers off the field before the close of the 3rd quarter.
Yes, unlike another team who truly earns their bowl invitation with quality wins over
Weber State
Georgia Tech
Idaho
San Jose State
New Mexico State
I think if one compares strength of schedules between the two teams in question, the matter of quality opponents is settled rather quickly.
Going into today's game Utah had the #3 ranked strength of schedule. So pay no mind to comments from uninformed critics like Worf.
I am hoping that the Utes have righted the ship and the growing pains are over. Seems like Travis Wilson is the future of the program. Washington has beaten all of the teams that they should. The Utes can't overlook them with Arizona on the horizon. This is why being in the PAC-12 is so exciting. The Utes actually have to play their way into a bowl spot instead of coasting past inferior opponents at the end of the schedule. Looking forward to the last three weeks of the season. GO UTES!!!

#3 difficult schedule... yawn
Ute pride swelling at 2-4
Three way tie for 10th place... that's funny!
What's really funny is Sammy's jealous obsession with the Utes!
#3 ranked strength of schedule?
What a compliment to Northern Colorado, and Washington State.
The chorus is laughing.
According to byu fan logic, Utah beat wsu by 19 points more than byu did. So let's ignore the 3 point win over byu and just say we are 19 points better this year. Much improved from 44 points right cougars?
@worf:
You left out the biggest cupcake of all the Utah wins...
@worf
I don't hear anyone laughing? Is it choir night at your house? Just a PAC 12 vicory by Utah. Nothing more, Nothing less.
niners,
Yes! BYU played better against Utah State.
The best teams in Utah are:
1. BYU
2. Utah State
3. Weber
4. Dixie
5. Southern Utah
6. Bingham
7. Utah Utes
Now for basketball---
The chorus is laughing.
So happy for the win and how they did it! Putting in Jon Hays in the third quarter. An honor earned for his efforts this year and last. (Also protecting Travis from possible injury.) Then Adam Schultz, a walk-on fourth team quarterback in the fourth quarter. After completing his first pass he rushed over to the sidelines and was congratulated by Jordan Wynn. Later saw Travis Wilson congratulating him. And Lucky Radley scoring a TD. (He has been an unbelievable recruiter for the Utes!) Yes, it was total domination but I also loved how it was done!
I love how when BYU beats WSU it's cougars beat a PAC 12 team...when UTAH beats WSU they are lowly WSU!!! Objective reporting???
@Waf,
Who won when BYU played Utah this year, on thew field?
just askin........
Well said, Duckhunted.
This was another good all around performance for the Utes. Everyone knows that WSU wasn't a good team, after all byu beat them this year. But the Utes did exactly what they needed to do to keep their bowl hopes alive.
I hope they can keep up the momentum and get a conference win on the road next week.
Keep kicking it to Reggie! Truly an amazing feat.
Go Utes!
worf. did you forget a game??
Wort, you are so pathetically delusional. Flat out Utah, while down this year, is just a little better than BYU. We are not thinking we are that great, just better thn BYU. And you know what, while Utah is getting there butts kicked by UCLA, ASU, USC, and OSU, they still know they are better than BYU. And you know what......that is enought to let all the Utah fans keep very well at night. Oh, by the way, it is probably a stupid move for BYU to not be preparing a QB for next season, given your improved schedule in 2013. Enjoy that season.....
