Go Big Blue!!!

Great Game. Chuckie threw a couple of great long passes. This is a fun team to watch. IT will be great for USU to have 2 weeks to prep for Lousianna Tech. WAC Champions to BE!!!

Great game Aggies...
D held tough!
O was great... 3 turnovers not good though.
Nick Diaz was 5-5 on PAT's and 1-2 on field goals. barely short of being 2-2.

Love it Aggies!!!

Only 17,000 to watch a great team?

@Rodgers

I agree. I drove up for the Homecoming game. I wish I lived closer so I could go to more games. As an alumnus of USU, I can testify that there is really nothing better to do in Cache Valley on a Saturday afternoon. I wish the fans up there would start packing the place. Hopefully next year with better teams coming in.

I'm glad there is KMYU. I have been able to at least watch most of the Aggie games this year on T.V.

I agree that the game was a poor showing. But basketball rules in Logan, and since there was a basketball game later that night I know of several students who couldn't go to both games and chose to go to the basketball game instead. Also, USU's home schedule outside of Utah has been rather boring this year. Next year should be better when we play better games at home. That being said, no excuses, although I find it funny that we are disappointed when our low attendance of the year are 17,000. That's a lot higher than the attendance was in past years. It should keep improving.
Again, no excuses. I went to both and loved it.
Go Aggies!

As a BYU fan, let me congratulate Utah State on their great year. I hope you can get to ten wins and then a bowl win with a WAC championship first of course.

Great to get a win. But-----who in the world are the Texas State Bobcats? Are they just throwing together football teams and slapping universities on them, now?

Utah packed a 45,000 seat stadium even though the team was only 3-5 and playing a horrible WSU team. BYU will draw 60,000 to watch BYU play Idaho.

Utah State can only 17,000 people to watch what is probably the best team in the school's history? It takes more than players and coaches to build a great program Aggie fans....

Big deal you beat Texas State. It's not that big a deal considering Texas State isn't that good and the WAC stinks this year.

@Stang08

Careful here. USU, LA Tech, SJSU, and perhaps even UTSA fans would disagree with you. The WAC is arguably better than the MWC this year. Altogether, not a bad showing for a conference on its last legs.

Who has SUU beaten this year again? Practically nobody. And lest anybody says Eastern Washington, they are still just an FCS team.

Enjoy the losing season, Thunderchickens. There will be more of them to come.

@Stang
Sambone's right. Want proof?
ESPN has the WAC at 7th in conference rankings. 1st of the non-BCS conferences. CBS has them at 9.

So as far as conferences outside the BCS conferences, the MAC may be better, but only them.

Also, every time you post about how bad USU or the WAC is, it is pretty sad because even when the Aggies finished with 2 or 3 wins a few years back they hammered SUU. SUU is bad. period. Not even close to the best in their conference, which is an FCS conference. So we have SUU who is middle of the pack in an FCS conference and USU who is 1st in the WAC, the 1st or 3rd best mid-major conference. Take your pick who is better.

Oh ya, and there is that 34-3 throttling from the first game of the year.

None of those teams are good so my statement still stands. Yes we've had a lot of losing seasons. But remember Sambone, USU has had more losing seasons than probably anyone in the state. Your team hasn't been tested with the exception of BYU and Wisc and you know it. If he is right then why is the WAC dying. Yes they hammered SUU and in case you children haven't noticed I've gotten over that loss. What would've happened if SUU had won? SUU is better than we used to be because of coach Ed Lamb period. New conference with hard teams so no we are not but think about it. Middle of the pack in a new conference is good. Winning only your second title in a conference you've been in for years isn't impressive. Are all you Aggies just one trick ponnies? It sure seems that way.

LA Tech (ranked in the AP poll), SJSU, and USU aren't good? The ravings of a certifiable lunatic no doubt. Those three teams have a combined record of 23-5 this year. The WAC is dying because 5 of the 7 teams are leaving for other conferences. That doesn't mean the league stinks this year. It's going out fighting.

Ed Lamb is a good coach, but without Sorensen, SUU could be in some serious trouble in the next few years.

Posing the question of what would have happened if SUU won is totally irrelevant because it wasn't going to happen period. Even when the Aggies were bad, they still mopped the floor with the Thunderchickens.

And FYI, if we are talking most losses since 1963, the T-birds are the ones who hold that in-state record. But I wouldn't expect a real child to know that.

Troll on, Stainy

Sambone,

When you are everywhere don't call me a troll. And humor me. What if SUU had won that game?

Sambonethegreat
LOGAN, UT

Stang, I am not everywhere. I routinely read the DesNews and SLtrib, and that's about it. I used to read the HJnews until they started charging for online access. Besides, I'm not the one hanging out on opposing team forums and boards insulting people.

I have been reading your troll posts for over a year now, so over the summer I decided to throw my voice into the mix. I especially found it funny when you insisted the Aggies would never win again after the Hawaii game last season.

And no I will not humor you. You don't deserve it, and neither do the Thunderbirds, especially with Sorensen leaving soon.

Stang08

I suppose you think you deserve something then Sambone and I right?
