C'mon, Utes. Get the win for your coach!
I hope the Utes can give their coach a victory on his 100th game.
The Utes need to take care of business on Saturday against WSU if they are going to continue their streak of winning seasons and bowl game appearances. I hope they can give the same balanced effort as they had last week vs Cal.
I have a great deal of respect for coach Whittingham. He has run this football program the right way and makes it easy to be proud to be a Ute.
Keep up the good work Kyle and Go Utes!
Congrats coach!
I'm already looking forward to your next 100 games.
Congrats to Coach Whit on the eve of his 100th game as Utah's head coach!
I do find it a little silly for Dirk to be talking about Kyle's two "debuts" as Utah’s head coach. Yes, technically, Kyle was named Utah's co-head coach with Urban Meyer at the 2005 Fiesta Bowl, but in reality, it was Urban's team and Kyle was simply along for the ride. Kyle wasn't really Utah's head coach until after the Fiesta Bowl when Urban left for Florida.
So, the "infographic" is very informative; apparently Whittingham's first win was BYU vs. Eastern Illinois in 2005. So which team was Kyle coaching that night?
Maybe it doesn't mean much to Coach Whit, but we're going to congratulate him anyway.
Congratulations to Coach Whittingham for a great first 100 games!

Riddles in the Dark
You're correct about the Fiesta Bowl; Dirk is just grasping at straws because even Utah doesn't count that game in Kyle's official head coaching record. Kyle did handle a few pre-bowl practices while Urban was away, but it was still Urban's team.

This is simply a Freudian slip by the editor... in his heart, Kyle will always be a Cougar.
Trueblue,
If, in his heart, kyle were still a cougar, why didn't he take the provo job when he chose the utah job instead?
What we are learning in the State of Utah is that we have three really good MWC caliber teams.

Because it's a lot easier to recruit when you have a larger pool of potential recruits.
Finish up strong these last 5 games (bowl game counted as the fifth).
Its all gravy. He coached the team that won the Sugar Bowl, as 10 pt underdogs. Utah beat Bam in there back yard. Who's the last non conference foe Bama has lost too?
What a great bowl win. Nothing compares. exept maybe Boise St in the Orange Bowl
GO UTES
