RE:One misconception about the gospel of Jesus Christ is that he gives us a bunch of rules that we are required to obey in order to gain salvation. True,
The Gospel(Grk 2098,euangelionl=good news) of grace(5485,charis=gift) must not be turned into a bait –and-switch offer. It is not one of these airline supersavers in which your read of a $59 fare to Orlando only to find, when you to buy a ticket that, six seats per flight at that price are all taken and that trip will now cost you $199. Jesus must not be read as having baited us with grace to clobber us in the end with law.
For as the death and resurrection of Jesus were accomplished once for all, so the grace that reigns by those mysteries reigns eternally-even in the thick of judgment.
VS (2 Nephi 25:23,For we know it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do.
Jer 17:5 (NIV) … "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD."
He's certainly not where you would most expect.
