Is the game Friday or Saturday? It says both in this article. Go Herriman, beat East!!!
Should be a good matchup. Looking closely at both team's performances so far, I'm afraid I have to grudgingly admit that I haven't been fair to Herriman; they actually might matchup with East fairly well. East has the defensive edge, considering that, with the exception of the Logan game, their defense has shut down everyone they've faced. But Herriman's defense is very good, as well. Both have similar high scoring run offenses. Both have lost big games that many thought they would win (Herriman vs Riverton and East vs Logan), but beyond those games, both teams have had surprisingly easy schedules. East still has the edge skill wise and I see them pulling off the win, but Herriman makes up some of that with home field advantage. I see final score of 27-17 East.
Thanks to the UHSAA I now am in Herriman's corner. Go Herriman! It would be great if you could find the justice that the UHSAA could not. Rise to the occasion!
It may not be fair to put this much pressure on a group of kids, but it is all up to Herriman's offensive line. They will have to play their best game of the season. If they can give Bernard and Farmaer some running lanes, Herriman can be successful. They are perfectly capable of doing so against East, but it will by no means be easy. Six seconds at a time, of all they got. Go Mustangs!
Justice will be served on the field. Send East home where they should be. Go Herriman, you can do this
Enough talk! If Herriman is so great and come out as the #1 seed in their region, they should have no problem beating the #4 seed right? You have nothing to worry about so stop complaining. East will come out with the WIN!
As soon as Herriman realizes they can play with East it will be an entertaining game.....That being said, if Herriman can overcome the intimidation factor, survive the first quarter and be within a touchdown of East....watch out!
re: kingvatu
Really?
@kingvatu - That makes no sense. The point is, East shouldn't be a #4 seed because they are arguably the best team in the state. Let me tell you what's been going on, in case you missed it:
East is probably the best team in the state....nevermind, but you should read up on it.
Go Mustangs!! We've had a blast following Herriman football for three years and this year has been exciting. You have what it takes to beat the best teams, including East (my parents' alma mater). Herriman pull off the upset!!
Go Herriman!!
Timpview will beat East.
Logan has beat East.
So I am taking the winner of the Timpview vs Logan game as your next State Champion over Mtn Crest.
Big game tomorrow. East is thrid best. and if they "didnt want to play against Logan because they thought the season was over-not motivated" then I really take East as third. True players play no matter what.
