Sister Duce,

Your old neighbor John Erickson from Eastridge Circle here! Great article. Sisters make a difference and definitely get in doors the Elders cannot. 1/3 of the missionaries in my mission were sisters and they did great work. They detracted from our teaching time because we were always interviewing and baptizing the sisters converts!

The Monday after general conference 10 of 11 girls in my early morning seminary class immediately raised their hands when asked if they planned to serve a mission. THis is going to be big!!

"For me, walking uninvited onto the stage during an anti-Mormon seminar to stop the presenter from spreading more lies was one of the bravest things I’ve ever done and changed me from that day forward. We all need to be braver than we are and a church mission positions us on the fast-track to developing that vital character trait."

Really? How would you feel in an uninvited guess interrupted your testimony on fast and testimony Sunday because she thought you were lying? I am shocked that this action is glorified and promoted here.

Tye - There is a difference between a Hate the Mormons Seminar and a Church Service. You and I who live in Texas both know that is the case.

But the example you give is disingenuous. Someone bearing their testimony of Christ is not someone spreading untruths and vindictive about another faith.

It is not the same to profess ones faith as to tear down another's. False analogy. Try again.

J-TX- Regardless of whether or not what they were saying was true, or even hateful, the point is the author was uninvited and interrupted the religious activity of who knows how many people. It doesn't matter if the person was lying, handling snakes or worshiping Satan. The 11th article of faith states, "We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may."

Sister Duce violated that article. I'm sure the speaker and his audience felt the same way you would feel if someone interrupted you while bearing your testimony.
