I like the way both coaches attempt to sandbag, by effusively complimenting the other team while downplaying their own. Only one of them is blowing smoke. Coach Chambers is absolutely right about how good Pine View is. They are, without doubt, the best 7-3 team or #4 seed in the 3A ranks and had they not lost their QB in the first game could well have been the #1 seed from region 9. Pine View plays in 3A's toughest region, by far, and has played 7 teams with winning records and has victories over four of them (including an impressive win over Orem). Spanish Fork however is untested. True, Spanish Fork is 9-1, but who have they beaten that has a winning record? Nobody. In fact they have only played one team with a winning record (Logan) and they got destroyed. Spanish Fork has home field advantage, but I'm picking Pine View.

Pine View will be the only 4-1 "upset" in 3A in my opinion. Coach Hosner will have this team ready, and I think Pine View is a team that a lot of people are sleeping on. Spanish Fork is a good team, but Pine View has a lot of talent, and will be able to contain the Money brothers like many teams have not been able to.

I'm a dhhs fan, and would love PV to win. If they play dhhs again, it would be a different game. I hope our region represents! Go PV.

Spanish Fork is being very underestimated in this match up on friday, they have a unstoppable running game due to the RB Braxton Argyle. Who might be the best that spanish fork has ever seen. The money "brothers" are a combo that not many have the athletisism to match or defend. Colton Olsen is also one of the best recievers in the state. The defense is led by Logan Jensen and Gunnar Beus who both have no regard for human life. Spanish Fork will come out on top. Wyatt Groves also will put the pine view running back on his back plenty.

Don't take Spanish Fork lightly PV, they are the team that stopped Juan Diego last year and had Hurricane on the ropes before Brian Scott put the team on his back carried HHS to victory. Yes, they lost some players including their QB who was fabulous, but they are still a very dangerous team.
