For all the talk about BYU's defense, the last two games don't bear it out. Either: the defense gets tired (who wouldn't with the short amount of time the offense has the ball); play calling doesn't adjust properly; or they just aren't performing as well as they did earlier. Giving up 800 yards in the past two games doesn't bode well against one of the top offensive teams in the nation.
byu surrendered 270 yds on the ground to ND....Just imagine what GT's rushing-total w/b this Saturday....This will get real ugly real fast for byu.
AZUTE1
Nah, just kinda ugly. Real ugly is utah's season. Ugly, uglier, and real ugly.
Defense hung with a top ten team and a top five team... before getting taken apart. I think they will do okay. Maybe not, but I think so. But in the morning, any morning, utah's season will still be...
Yeah, playing against the #2 ranked SOS nationally is something byu fans can't fathom....How does this reflect upon byu, if they can't ever beat UTAH? lollol
3 straight, 4 of 5, 8 of 11 and the overall record, 56-34-4 = Owned.

"BYU fans travel well." They do? And what's the definition of "travel"? To me, travel means supporters/fans/alumni who "travel" with the team. Perhaps "BYU has a very strong fan base" would be more accurate, because that they do. Even when the Cougs would come to play the Aztecs, the Cougs fans was always largely the local fan base. With that being said, sadly, I agree with AZUTE1. This game could get real ugly, particularly as the GT offense wears down the Cougs defense into latter-part of the 2nd half. But, I keep stressing this, win or lose of this game means nothing to the Cougs bowl destination. They'll reach the 6 game bowl eligibility minimum (they'll likely reach 7 wins) and play in sunny San Diego in December.
