I am a Riley fan, but he tends to throw a really bad pass after a bad play. The defense is really playing well. At least BYU isn't the only team with trouble in the field goal game.

GO COUGS!!!

You just never know what the Cougs are going to do. If they keep this up I may get to dust off and wear my BYU tie tomorrow. Tear em up Cougs!

I vowed not to watch my Cougars get killed, but that was because I thought I wouldn't be able to get through the first quarter. But they have looked pretty decent. If Riley wouldn't throw so many passes behind the streaking ends and backs, the Cougars would be destroying ND. I just watched another drive fizzle because Riley needed to throw the ball 10 yards to a wide open Falslev for a first down, and threw it 3 into the dirt. Riley continues to be the weakest link out there, but he has all the enthusiasm of a great leader. The QB draw isn't working against this good defense, and I don't see them trying it much. And I have definitely noticed that Doman is mixing it up a way more. Wow! Where has this offense been all year? Go Cougars. Keep your heads and you can win this thing!

Oh well, good game to watch, some improvement, Cougars scored two touchdowns against a #5 team.

Cougars did as well against Notre Dame as any BCS team this year.

Another Ute beat down will make me feel better.

Go Beavers!

Some one needs to tell bronco this isn't hockey. There are FOUR periods in football. If this because of the shorter no contact practices.

Another poor conservative play calling after we were up 14 to 7. It use to be that if we had two minute left like we did in the first half we would run a two minute drill and try to score. It looks as if we are scared to try. I am thinking this is because of Nelson. One more score would have taken the heat off of the defense. At least we did not give up 7 on offense this game.

I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that they could play at this level. ND is an excellent team and it was understandable that we could sense the tide turning in the 3rd quarter. Riley has to execute better and make fewer bad pass attempts. If they had played like this the earlier games, they would have impressed far more folks across this country, including me, just a fan. The next two games will tell a lot about whether or not this was a fluke. Go Cougars. Please exceed my expectations as you did today. Make if an 8-4 season now.
