Wouldn't average field position when punting be an important stat in looking at a punter's effectiveness? If your team is punting after a decent drive say the 50 or opponents 40 you aren't trying to punt the ball 50+ yards. I'm surprised the punts inside the 20 stat was omitted from this story.
Also important is net yards from a punt. If you punt 48 yards with no return is better than a 50 yard punt with a ten yard return.
