Mia Love should be bowing down to Dick Armey and the Koch Brothers right now.

You know she'll win, because she'll be swept into office by the (R)oteVote --

This close of an election so close to election day will be greatly determined by coattails...I give love the edge with greater enthusiasm among Republican voters and Obama's poor job/poll numbers just over 3 weeks away from the general election. The only polls that puts Obama in good position for re-election are those that have +9 democrat samples, yet voter enthusiasm in those same polls goes clearly to republicans...you don't get a +9 turnout with a much higher enthusiasm among likely voters. This will be interesting to see the final outcome.

Government for sale!

Government for sale!

Step right up and buy your representative here!

Government for sale!

(When will we finally wise up and reform campaign funding and overturn Citizens United?)

Just think how happy I would be if I were the local TV salesman at one of our Utah TV stations raking in all this money because of this race. For us as viewers, we get to watch these ads. The TV stations are smiling all the way to the bank. It's an infusion of lots outside cash into our state. At least we can keep that happy thought as we endure more and more political ads. Now we know what a swing state goes through.....

Utah observer - just be glad you are not a battle ground state, and an independent voter. I personally get up to 25 calls a day from one group or another.... and have stopped watching TV because of the endless political ads.

November can't come and go fast enough.

Obama is the only one that bows, Mia doesn't need to

In politics, you want to predict the winner? Follow the money. Mission accomplished for Utah's GOP and their redistricting shananigans. Can we start to call her Congressman Love?

Can you say Gadiantons?]

A news item today caught my eye. It reported that Sarah Palin's PAC donated some money (not much) to Mia Love's campaign.

Then it went on to say that Sarah had collected $833,900 from donors. They handed out $54,500. The remaining $779,400 is what they are calling "expenses."

Hey, Sarah is a staunch supporter of "Free Enterprise" isn't she? Sounds like she just discovered one more way to capitalize on her infamy and make even more money.

But does she have any idea what the word "Honesty" means?

Redistricting can be a problem for some candidates. However, in this case, Matheson had the choice of which he district he wanted to run in. He had a choice and didn't picture he would have this Mayor to run against. She may be only a Mayor of a small Utah town, but she has had to make some decisions that impact on people where she lives within a short distance. Jim Matheson has done some good things but has learned the Arlen Spectre type of politician tactics in Washington, D.C. You have to come home at the end of the day and look in the mirror. Even after a good night's sleep, you look in the mirror. He bought into the Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi politics and Utahns didn't necessarily like that approach.

If it is a snake, you may not want to pick it up or even be associated with it. It can bite you. Nancy Pelosi depended on Jim Matheson as her ace in the hole. She knew when she needed him and when she didn't.

It is a little gamble with Mia but we know what Jim has become in Washington.

"Government for sale!"

Our government wouldn't be for sale if the current administration hadn't bungled their job so horribly. The perfect storm of mismanagement, corruption, and foreign policy failures is coming together just in time for the elections.

I hear the the head of the Secret Service is in trouble for lying about their sex scandal.
