Key play in the game: 1st quarter Hundley throws a pass to the sideline that is nearly picked off, but because it isn't, it was a touchdown the other way. If the fortunes on that play were reversed, I have to think the score of the game is the same, but in Utah's favor. But such is football.

Brian Johnson needs to go. The Utes will be extremely lucky to win 6 games. The offense is non-existent.

Interesting timing in starting Wilson. I was impressed with how much he improved during the game. His height makes it really easy for him to throw over the top. He seemed to spread it out today quite a bit.

The Utes need to run the ball more. John White was running pretty effectively and yet he didn't get many touches in the second half.

It's not time to hit the panic button with this team just need to adjust your expectations. They are getting better but they need to cut out the stupid mental mistakes and penalties that either killed our drives or kept theirs going.

On a positive note the Utes passed for over 200 yards first time without Wynn.

At SG to SLC: As a UCLA grad I loved this result. When will the people of the great state of Utah relaize that the Pac 12 is a lot better than the MWC? Also, when will they stop saying "if....statements"? You lost. Period. Both BYU and Utah lost to Pac 12 teams, which is what would happen on a regular basisto BYU and to Utah as a memeber of the conference. It is going to take Utah awhile to be able to play at an elite level week in and week out. I do not see New Mexico being added to the conference anytime soon.

Isn't fan loyalty and frustration fun?

I love the way my fellow Ute "fans" cope with losses. They get so pouty or go silent when their team biffs games they think they can win. What a bunch of bandwagon whiney fans.

If the fan silence isn't deafening enough I relish comments like the above. 3 losses in a row and the way the fans deal with it is lecturing each other, ignoring their own team and/or flocking to BYU stories to make themselves feel better.

I hear ya', just frustrated. I don't think Johnson was a good hire. I was very hopeful, and optimistic, but I'm simply calling it like it is. A very predictable play caller. Utah is not going to beat anyone as long as there offense is only putting up 7 points. It's shaping up to be a tough season indeed. Take Care Guy!

Likewise, BYU fans deal with losses by begging Holmoe to fire every coach on the staff, vilifying the starting QB, and blaming the refs. Then it turns into a discussion of how much better BYU would be if they played any of the five "all-world" QB's they have waiting on the bench. And lets not forget that in the middle of it all fans like yourself flood to Utah comment sections with your misguided entitlement and arrogance to post condescending comments.

I think we all realize that a best-case scenario for Utah this year is a mediocre season with a lower-tier bowl berth. I don't think you realize that your trash talking is ridiculous because BYU straight up sucks this year. Please don't let facts cloud your bravado though. I think we all enjoy Duckhunter's and your clown show.

It could be worse couldn't it?
We could be cougar fans and have nothing to cheer for the rest of this season on top of three straight losses to gnaw at our guts.
You almost have to feel sorry for our little brothers and the fix they've gotten themselves into.

Where are all the Ute fans? The silence tells the story I guess. And BYU fan, you are quiet too. The state of Utah 0-2 this week....I live it!!!

What exactly have Utah fans got to cheer for the rest of the season - to finish ahead of WSU and Colorado to avoid the PAC cellar? an outside chance to finish 6-6 and qualify for the New Mexico Bowl?

It's comical watching our little brothers pretending to be big boys, but failing miserably.

I loved it. What a day. Utah in the Rose Bowl on Fox, BYU on ABC. Win or loose yesterday was a great day for football. I don't miss the MWC at all!

I love the whining by utah "fans" about BYU and BYU fans. LOL! You think BYU has nothing to play for huh? Last time I checked utah is now 2-4 and 0-3 in their conference. What exactly are they playing for?
