I think this statement isn't quite right, in regards to 1A North and outright titles.
"Only Diamond Ranch (1A South) has claimed an outright region title — its first — this year.
Seven teams, all undefeated in their respective regions, have at least a share of a league championship: ..... and Duchesne (1A North).
All but Duchesne, which has a non-region game, can grab region honors outright with victories this week."
Pretty sure that Duchesne has already clinched outright as well. They have three wins in region, the only team that can possibly get three region wins is Rich, and they've already lost to Duchesne, so the Eagles own the tie breaker.
Even though Duchesne has the head to head if both teams posted the same region records they would share the region championship. Duchesne would receive the #1 seed for the playoffs with the head to head tie breaker.
Me Myself and I: What a strange way to figure a championship. Is that a UHSAA determination, or how the region determines things?
