The rich and powerful elite, ruling class of Utah is endorsing Jim Matheson? How is this news?

Since when is a democrat endorsing another democrat......news? Love will win, you can bet your plastic on it!

Sorry -- the TRUTH is that Jon Huntsman Sr., like his son, is a Republican. This is a story about a Republican endorsing the quality candidate in the race, instead of just following party lines and supporting the unqualified candidate. Good for him.

Jon, St.: How disappointing! I thought you had better sense.

There's nothing disappointing about this. Jon Huntsman Sr. is showing good sense, and true concern for the welfare of Utah and the United States, in making this endorsement. Good for him.

@Mike Richards
The reason Huntsman's support is newsworthy is because many (myself included) respect him and his opinion. His success as a father, a person of faith, a businessman, and a philanthropist, show that he has something important to say (and takes time to think before saying it).
I am a conservative who really doesn't like Matheson. However, I respect Huntsman's opinion enough that it makes me wonder what he knows about both Love and Matheson to make him willing support the latter. Perhaps Matheson is not as bad as I tend to believe? Or maybe there is something about Love I need to look closer into?

I also admire certain people in the community because of the good that they have done, but I don't vote one way of the other because they recommend one person over another. I don't agree with Jon Huntsman, Sr. In my view, Jim Matheson is someone who will vote with Ms. Pelosi unless she releases him from his obligation. That is something that you can check for yourself. His history is long and his voting record is detailed. Whatever hold she has over him negates his oath of office to represent the people of Utah.

Mr. Huntsman is a member of the 1st Quorum of 70. As such, I'm surprised that he endorsed anyone for any office. Perhaps that is something that is none of my business.

Either we believe in the Constitution and the principles that underlie the Constitution, or we don't. I believe in the Constitution. I don't think that Jim Matheson holds those views. He has voted for things that contradict the Constitution and the limits of authority extended to a member of the House of Representatives.

Jon Huntsman may disagree with me. That is his privilege

His daughter Abby is now talking for him and the LDS Church. Nice!

How come you didn't mention you were voting for Scott Howell because you believe in term limits and we need new blood in Washington? Or do you only believe in term limits for democrats?

Abby is the daughter of Jon Huntsman Jr. From what I've seen of her, she does a very good job speaking for herself.

If more people even knew what the ski link was about they would support it.
