Still in need of an offensive coordinator. Thank goodness there was no Riley error.
Great to get the W, but anemic offense and awol kicking game have got to improve. Thank goodness for the best D in BYU history.
i hope i don't hear anymore about chuckie cheese being the best qb in the state, cuz it just ain't so.
It's been a great week...
Mitt wins the debate.
Utes bite the dust again.
BYU beats USU.
And conference weekend.
It was great to see Taysom get some valuable experience against that Aggie defense. He did well for a freshman.
Cougars still need a lot of work on offense and special teams, well kicking is abysmal.
If a win is in the next three games I will be very surprised and very very happy.
And Ridley needs to go to the woodshed for that personal foul. Geesh, that was stupid, no excuse for that.
Other than that... a great win for the Cougars! And a miserable week for the Utes.
Awesome!
When BYU tries to get the ball to Hoffman, good things happen. And yet they hardly used him al all. He was responsible for setting up our only score, and gets only 2 more passes the second half? Come on, Doman and Hill, get the ball to Hoffman!!!! He's your money.

Sorry, but you must not be watching--he is easily the best QB in the state. I was so impressed with his patience against the best defensive unit in the country last night. He didn't panic (a la Riley) and throw into a crowd, he waited for receivers to get open. He scrambled when he needed to, took a few well calculated shots down the field, and never buckled to the pressure. He didn't get points because BYU is simply sporting the best defense in the history of BYU football. Had he been leading the Cougars last night the final score would have been 27-3 for BYU.
Penalty to the Deseret News writers for piling on. Justin Sorensen gets the blame for missing the PAT, but it was Riley Stephenson that missed that one.
Author needs to get his facts straight. Alisa is out with a broken arm, Stephenson misses PAT, not Sorenson.
@Prairie Dog,
Look at the stats again.. Hill barely had better percentage and yardage than Keeton... And 3 of Keeton's incomplete passes were great deep throws that were dropped by his receivers... (One hit Matt Austin in the chest on a deep throw.) Receiving was very poor in this game, but Keeton was still patient even though he was being rushed by that guy from Ghana (He's amazing by the way) and that Von Noy (If that's right)... 22-38 vs a Defense that good with poor receiving is solid, and unlike certain other quarterbacks (Hill, Nelson, Wynn) he hasn't been hurt all season which puts him above the rest because he can take a hit... (Which he did several times against BYU)... Who would be better than him? Hill? He's hurt. Nelson? Also hurt and has played abysmally this year.
