bottom-line:

The Utes are now the official PAC 12 cellar dweller.

Utah State 1-0 and BYU 1-1 both have better records in the PAC 12, than the Utes 0-2.

If this doesn't prove that the Wilson era needs to start now, then nothing will. Hays was his usual nonprodutive self, and Wilson scored more points in the last 2 minutes than Hays the entire second half.

Good effort and proves Whitt's a great coach. Just not enough ponies to get it done. Can't wait for the USU/BYU game tomorrow night. Some really good college football in Utah.

Whitt is a good coach? Did you see how many penalties Utah got? They were totally undisciplined and poorly coached. Truth is if USC didn't spot Utah those 14 points, this is a blow out. Utah's coaches are trying but lack a lot of experience. I'm afraid it is going to be a long year.

A gutsy effort by Hays and the Utes. As much as I admire Hays, you could see a glimpse of the potential that Wilson has. Hopefully we'll see him get more and more playing time as the season progresses.

Don't expect to see "Utes 27 USC 21 from Ogden, UT" around again - after he recovers from tonight's humiliation, he'll have to come up with a new moniker.

Utah absolutely dominated this game from start to the finish . . . of the 12 minute mark in the 1st quarter. For those who missed the game, it was not as close as the score appeared. Utes got the two nice TDs to start the game, then it was all USC, until Wilson got a TD against USC's scout team in the final minutes.

There was nothing wrong with the way Hays played. USC is a tough team, and this is one of the Utes weakest teams in quite a few years. (I realize I can't say too much, because U did get a win against my Cougs and our lame QB.) Wilson may have more potential, but he's not even close to where Hays is. But the Utes are not likely to be bowl bound with either QB, so maybe getting Wilson is the answer.
