Does this count as a win in the Deseret Duel???
After the faculty purges in the 1990s of the radical intellectual elements at BYU and instituional memory well ingrained, I'm sure the remaining BYU faculty are loathe to say anything negative about their Employer. Its called Happy Valley for a reason afterall.
@BYUTrackStar - what an amazingly ignorant comment that should insult at least the majority of BYU employees. Based on your comment I must assume that you've personally conducted your own survey to verify the results of the first.
@JTriumph I stand by my comments. The Survey indicated BYU staff is happy working at the Y. Second, prehaps you don't recall the faculty purges of the 90s at BYU or it was before your time. They did happen. Finally, Provo/Orem is still considered the keystone of "Happy Valley" is was two months ago when I was up there. Has this changed in the last eight weeks?
BYU Track Star,
I oberved your word - "purged". I suppose one could use that term. BYU is a private university that has a certain belief system as its base and foundation. As a private university, not only do they have the right to remove those who teach against the beliefs of the university, but the responsibility to do so.
@Lone Star Coug. Read your history of what happened in the 90s and report what you found as accuratly as possible. It won't change what happened. But, It will illuminate the other readers as to what happended
