I stopped eating beef all together so I am really helping, replaced it with chicken and turkey. but I make sure we have lots of meals that don't involve killing an animal. pancake dinners peanut butter sandwiches, burritos, bean tacos etc... lots to choose from.
If we're down to something called meatless monday to provide food security, maybe we need to also get to 'another child every four years. Or more'. There are too many of us to be sustainable, and the biggest challenge is that the growth in consumption won't come from future births but from people already born. They may not look like Utahans, but they're in the same marketplace, with the same buying power.
Sounds good since it's not Monday. lol.
That's a good goal though, it's less painfull than just becoming a vegitarian. I've also heard of people that are vegitarian before dinner. Whatever works.
