As American Companies out-sourced middle income jobs to Communist China.
American incomes decline, lay-offs sky-rocket, and Company make record profits....

Ironic how Communist Red China's Middle class was created by Captialist American Businesses.

While the Red, White and Blue Tea-Partiers wave their flags and blame Pres. Obama....

I'm up this year but that still doesn't ease my concerns over the current economic state nor that the past four years of Obama's term have done anything to help out. I'm still not ready to spend my increase, other than to pay down debt, which means my outlook is very pessimistic. I don't think I'm very different than many others in the state/country.

Private companies have to make a profit or go out of business. They outsource to China as they can make it cheaper. What would help companies here would be lower taxes. Our corporate tax is the world's highest. That's Obama's fault. Our economy tends to have an inverse ratio to the size of government. Our government has increased in size as an answer to the weak job market. That is why our economy suffers. Employers are not all bad guys. But they have to pay workers according to their need to make a profit.

To be expected when Utah's citizens are sold as such.
Governor Herbert is selling Utah to out-of-state corporations by pointing to low wages.

And Romney will create jobs..Right. The only jobs he created were low paying jobs that enable companies to become more profitable. Whether as a Governor or as a business leader, there is nothing in his past that suggests he would help middle class wage earners.

Louie! Prove it, don't go by just hear say.

LDS Liberal! As always you ignore what the Pres. is doing and throw it back on others. Have you forgotten Pres.
O's buddy who is the CEO of GE who outsources almost all his products to China. People need to boycott GE and they
have their name stamped on things you have no idea of. Have you noticed how pricey Tide Detergent is over other similiar products? Yep, GE made in China.

To "LDS Liberal" as has been pointed out, you are ignoring reality.

See "Once Made in China: Jobs Trickle Back to U.S. Plants" in the WSJ. The jobs are coming back to the US, partially due to us sending them overseas in the first place. What you and your ilk fail to recognize is that the manufacturing jobs sent overseas typically paid more than the average wage.

Now, if you want to understand what happens when companies try to keep jobs here, rather than trying to reduce costs by sending jobs overseas, look at Solyndra or the other solar panel companies that have gone under because they tried to keep their manufacturing here. Which is better, allowing a company to go under because it couldn't compete or to send its manufacturing overseas while maintaining a sales force, executives, and scientists here in the US?

How much is enough....oil companies and corporations claim they are not making any money, when they turn a profit of 1.3 billion. Where is the logic of not making money and still being a billionaire?

Also, while the cost of living has risen...(fuel)...most incomes have stayed the same. Teachers are good example of this. Where a teacher qualifies for the same house he tried to get in 20 years ago.... doesn't make sense to the middle class or poor of the country, but perfect sense to the super rich!

Too much greed all around the world!

To "Old ball coach" going after the oil companies is dumb. They have very low profit margins. The reason why they turn large dollar amounts in profits is because they sell so much of their product.

See "In defense of Big Oil: The truth about those huge, hated earnings numbers" in the NY Daily News.

See "Oil Company Earnings: Reality Over Rhetoric" in forbes.

See "Cut oil subsidies, but don't decry profits" at CNN

Apparently those that benefit most from oil profits are prople like you who have retirement accounts.
