Always nice to start the week off with good news. Charge them with car theft and let them serve time for that conviction consecutively.

So the penalty for failing to put your ignition key in your pocket should be to get your car stolen?
When these two miscreants to trial on motor vehicle theft charges they can try that argument on the jury.
Prison is the best place for people who can't keep their hands off of other people's property.
Way to go Lincoln PD. In the article back here they said all the cars had full tanks and keys in them except for the last one they took had only 1/4 tank and it was at Maxwell, Nebraska. Glad the officer in Lincoln was on top of it. Because of 1-80 being so close LPD and Lancaster County pretty well try to stay on top of things.
