The future looks bright with Hill. And wow an amazing defensive effort! Offense killed us. Completely.
Proof that BYU can't beat anyone decent.
Mid-Majors for live.
Miss Heaps yet?
I love Bronco and I love the Cougars, but the coaches have a lot to explain going for the 2pt conversion. The other team cannot get into the end zone all night and the kicker cannot kick. Anything can happen but I like my chances in OT.
Wow. No words to explain it. Defense gets an A+. Offense gets an F. Horribly embarrassing.
2004 all over again.
Ya gotta be kidding me! What the heck was Bronco thinking. Your defense has shut them out, the offense finally has some spark and you give the game away. Two weeks in a row, poor coaching and poor execution cost them the game. Horrible Bronco, just plain horrible.
once again, byu beats themselves-right???
Let the defense win the game- no instead you go for a 2 point conversion. Poor coaching.
Both teams were less than stellar.
Unbelievable decision!
OK waynerout, I'll concede, Nelson and Doman are killing us.
The best defensive performance in BYU history for Bronco and he blows it on the 2 pt decision.
The only thing more pathetic than the offensive effort with the caliber of receivers BYU has is the comments by the above irrelevant haters.
Of course the Ute fans/BYU haters will jump in now. I dare say Utah would have been crushed buy Boise tonight! Great defensive effort, poor coaching and execution by the Y line! Hill is a stud and who is Heaps!?
Bronco and Doman need to be shown the door.
Here's to hoping Hill can get the offense turned around
for the remainder of the season.
Two weeks in a row that our offense gives away winnable games. This is sickening to watch what we anticipated would be a semi-potent offense sputter and fail. Pointsettia Bowl here we come!
OK, so not going for the kick was one stupid call, even before the play played out. But why no onsides kick? You are down 1, have no timeouts left and BSU needs basically just 1 first down to shut the game down. The offensive play calling in this game was the worst I've seen. No offense to Riley, but if your starting QB has 3 INTs and just 18 yards after 2 1/2 quarters, you don't keep him in. This is why you have a 2-deep chart!
Right now Brandon Doman is making me miss Robert Anae and Gary Crowton. Why did it take 4 interceptions to pull Nelson? That loss belongs to Riley Nelson, Doman and Mendenhall. They all three owe the rest of the team as well as the fans an apology! Embarrassing to say the least!
Once again Bronco shows his coaching will cost BYU 3 or 4 loses a year. Gary Andersen should be smiling.
I have to admit that was a great long drive at the end by the freshman Hill. You might actually have a QB.
What I don't understand is how do you go for 2 points when you have momentum and your defense has shut out Boise's offense? Tie the game and trust your defense win it.
I said in this paper that if Riley started against Boise State BYU would loose. They did...we did. The good news is that Riley was finally replaced in a game. Even though Bronco decided to take a loss, he did have the good judgement to finally give Hill the reigns. Let's hope this continues for the remainder of the season, but I fear we will see Riley starting in the next game.
Not sure why everyone is complaining...Riley Nelson threw the game-winning TD.
