ESPN is running a real laugher story right now, that the BigEast is planning to expand by inviting BYU or others. It lists media estimates on the new TV contract to be about the same as BYU is currently getting from its ESPN deal. The Cougars would only gain some late season scheduling help and some possible bowl tie-ins by joining and would probably have to give up its home broadcast rights. Not a good deal for BYU, ride out the ESPN deal and see how the landscape looks then. Right now BYU is in complete control of its future, if it joins the BigEast it'll lose mobility and control.
