David Perchon admonished naysayers to "grow up" and allow pubs for neighbors to gather and visit within walking distance of their homes.

So you're not a real grown up until you have a pub next to your home? I'm not sure where he lives, but, I'm tired of the drug houses, meth labs, gangs and know we have the legal addition of pubs next door to help us "grow up". David Perchon needs to live next to some of these road home shelters, low income apartments and enjoy the usual night shouting matches, knife stabbings, drug deals and then hop right on over and have a cold adult beverage at the corner pub. Because that is what grown ups do.

The city can't even maintain control of the issues that face it now. How is it planning on dealing with the nuisance of these pubs/clubs etc?

I guess neighbors will get to petition the police who ignore them, then petition the council for 5 years and then finally they move on removing the nuisance. Meanwhile that is alot of time, energy, and nusiance that residential neighborhoods get to deal with. But that's grown up.

Good advice. Too bad he didn't take it himself.
