Wow! And our Marines weren't allowed to have real bullets? Are will being led by traitors?
@Worf
The reason there's no analysis by the media is that they, including the DesNews, have a policy of not criticizing Obama.
So because Obama's administration blew it in assessing the danger of supporting the overthrows of throws of some regimes and the growing tension in those regions, it's Romney's fault for doing the criticism the media (including the DesNews) refuse to provide, because of their policies to not criticize Obama.
Only an idiot would fall for this one and say it's now Romney's fault.
dixie dan....sorry that spot was taken in 1971 by the liar John Kerry!!!
One would think Romney's Mormon upbringing would've taught him that we should treat other religions and people with respect. A common theme in DN and touted by LDS and other churches is that religion is under attack. So, when an extremist inside the U.S. creates an highly offensive/inflammatory movie (portraying Mohammed as a child molester) one would think all Americans would denounce that as extreme and inappropriate/offensive. But, in Romney's world, condemning such a movie amounts to an apology and goes against American values.
It is despicable that Romney would condemn the words of those who are putting their lives at risk to work in embassies, representing the U.S.
Does Anyone seriously think the "mainstream media" would miss an opportunity to nail Mr. Romney???????? Get used to it America, the media are so in favor of Obama they cannot see clearly and never will!
IMHO Romney was Correct. Period!
Romney was right on...I just wish he had gone further in expressing the total dismay and anger WE normal folks feel toward this administrations lack of promoting America!!
Our fearless leader, the chosen one, the messiah --only has the Barney Fife type of security(except for himself)....Americans can only shoot beanbags.. not even a bullet in the pocket...ask the parents of dead Hero -Agent Brain Terry!!
If armed Marines had of been the security, the headlines would be...Americans kill, rape and mutilate defenseless children and women...Ask Jon Kerry ( Unfit For Command) about his lies to congress in 1971!!!!. Anti-Americans show up in many forms...Eternal Vigilance is required and all due caution expected to be afforded by our leaders!!!! That is too much to ask of the Chicago Mob!!!
Four Webpages in this article to dance around the fact that Romney stepped in it. Him saying he is a leader and is going to lead does not make him a leader. Raising his voice louder to say he is a leader does not make him a leader. Saying things are broke with out a plan to fix things does not make him a leader.
How is it that a person that is bigoted can be blamed for the actions of other bigoted individuals? Can a person in Utah that expresses a bigoted opinion about a bigot in New York be charged with a crime in New York for the New Yorker's bigoted crime?
Words don't kill people, people kill people.
Here are some facts some of you may want to look at in the past 40 years. The embassy in Iran was attacked and overrun with the embassy staff held as hostages during the Carter Administration. Two more embassies were attacked in Africa during the Clinton administration.
Now before you get in an uproar. The Marine Barracks in Beirut was attacked and destroyed as well under Reagan and we know about 9/11/2001 under Bush. The responses for the most part have been as follows:
Carter tried to rescue the Hostages but the military was ilprepared. Rescue failed. Reagan attacked those in charge and thus not much happened further. When Libya was found to cause a terrorist act and protected the terrorists Reagan almost got Gadolfi but did put him on notice. Clinton took one shot at Bin Laden and missed. Didn't try again but three years later we have 9/11. Who do you blame?
Well for me it is evident that Democrat administrations are weak on international affairs and thus we have been more subject to terrorists attacks. Whatever you say no one dared to attack anything of the US since 9/11 until now.
New reports out now that the administration new of a possible attack 48 hours before it happened. Obama has severely neglected the Middle East. It is so eerily similar to 1979. But at least Jimmy Carter was willing to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister back then.
Bill, you claimed "Whatever you say no one dared to attack anything of the US since 9/11 until now".
We had the 2008 attack in India against a US hotel that killed over 100, more that 300 injured, and several Americans - which were targeted.
In 2007 the US Embassy in Greece was attacked by RPG fire
In 2005 three US hotels were attacked by suicide bomers in Amman, Jordan killing 57
In 2006 the American Embassy in Damascus, Syria - no one was killed
June 2002, Karachi, Pakistan: bomb explodes outside American consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, killing 12
In 2003 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: suicide bombers kill 34, including 8 Americans, at housing compounds for Westerners.
In 2008 there were no less than 6 attacks on US installations
So I am not sure which news source you are using....but your claim that "Whatever you say no one dared to attack anything of the US since 9/11 until now" seems to be a bit inaccurate. The families of all those killed would strongly disagree I would think.
And to your Reagan comment... Reagin closed the Lebanon base and closed shop, hardly the stand firm claim you all are demanding now.
@Bill in Nebraska
"Whatever you say no one dared to attack anything of the US since 9/11 until now"
Bill, do you really not have the initiative to seek the truth? There were 12 different embassy attacks during the Bush administration, leading to 50+ killed. A simple internet search would have provided you will all information you needed to avoid looking like a partisan hack.
A1994 - big differences. Libya has 1) apologized, 2) already arrested 4, and are tracking more.
And to be honest, we don't need the Israeli's permission, guidance, or help in this. Doing so right now would be a huge error - introducing Israel into this situation would only make things worse, not better. This has absolutely nothing to do with them, they need to just butt out right now. They are not our puppet master.
But I know this means absolutely nothing. To you all, this isn't about American. This is about Republicanism.... party over country. You all are willing to sell out country to score what you think are political points. What all it does is reinforce to the Muslims we are in fact a divided country that they can exploit our loyalties to party over country to our disadvantage. The Republicans are doing exactly what they wanted - they have us fighting ourselves rather than uniting against them.
How pathetic is that. It was wrong minded when Bush was president. And it is no less wrong minded now.
What Obama and so many others do not understand is that Radical Islam is no different than any other bully. If you apologize foe being in the same hallway every time you see a bully all you will get is beat up. However if you say take one more step towards me and I will put you on your backside and then DO IT the next time the bully steps toward you the bully will back down after that. What Obama has been doing is going around the world apologizing for the past actions of the US. These Radical Islamic bullies look at that as cowardliness and do not respect us. They ONLY respect a strong dhow of strength.
It's becoming increasingly evident that Governor Romney is not ready to lead the country. Politicizing this crisis was in very poor taste, yet the Romney apologists are still out in full force. I have no doubt he will win in Utah with numbers that would be envied in totalitarian states. Unfortunately for him, it's not going to shake out this way where it matters.
The President, the Secretary of State and the Department of Defense have the responsibility to react to intelligence or common sense in protecting United States of America diplomats and military personnel on duty performing their required tasks. This President will go on television shows such as David Letterman and Jay Leno instead of performing his required tasks. He is thinking about his reelection and not the requirements of his job as President of the Unied States of America.
There should have been an increase in security for all United States of America personnel and resources, especially in those countries that are known to have terrorist activities in the area of our embassies. The 11th anniversary of 9/11 should have been a target emphasis for our State Department and Department of Defense. These people/terrorists in the countries that attacked our United States of America Embassies should have been brought to a higher alert. The countries involved have the requirements to respond to our requests and would have potentially alerted the bad guys that their own security forces were on the lookout for those types of activities and would have at least spoke their language and known the customary tactics.
In the Middle East, they have "The Muslim Brotherhood," here in the US, we have "The Obama Brotherhood" - aka "The Liberal Media," and both are deadly and dangerous. That's why Obama is NEVER blamed because he does NO wrong. If you don't believe me watch MSNBC! Further, the hot mic before Romney's press conference where the reporters conspired and coordinated their hatchet questions for Romney is blatantly evident. Why is the media flocking to Romney when they should be asking the Obama and his administration about the security lax at our embassies, at least on the anniversary of 9/11, and other flaws and inefficiencies abroad? Instead they want to "kill Romney". Sad!!!
We (Romney and the republicans) fight against thrones, principalities, powers, and spritual wickedness in high places (the administration and the press)...
Looks like Mitt Romney is going down, just like his pops did, for making an errant remark about foreign policy. The only difference is his father's statement was off the cuff and in the end correct. Mitt's on the other hand was a prepared statement, and therefore that much more inappropriate, and will eventually be proved to have been incorrect. Poor man is just not presidential materials, let's face it. Next.
@Thoughtful Voter
Most, if not all, "thoughtful voters" would vote on the basis of the more immediate domestic problems especially the economy and on foreign policy matters second or third or fourth ....! Saaad!
