Interesting comments. Can anyone tell me if they are going to have both
teams wear home uniforms like last year? I never heard why they did that. I
remember a few years ago UCLA and USC did that, and it was a penalty for the
visiting team, but that didn't happen in the BYU-Utah game. I liked it
though and think it would be a cool tradition. Anyone have any insight?
Vegas doesn't think BYU is very good. They are only a 4 point favorite.
The visiting team always has to wear white unless they have a prior arrangement
with the home team that allows them to wear a different color. I am wondering if
this is the game that they wear their all black uniforms. I know most of the
time when you debut a new uniform it is at home, I just dont see any home games
left on our schedule that would make it exciting to debut them. Maybe USU or OSU
but my money is on this Saturday
Because it is BYU-Utah, which is an ultra-rivalry game, anything can happen. It
is also a home game for Utah, so that is why the odds-makers have it as such a
close game. If you look back to the games of the past 15 or 20 years, you will
find that many of the games have final scores which were very close.
QBU The new black uniforms with the all new black helmets will be
unveiled October 27th when California come to RES. They've always done it
in October for the black out. Usually close to Halloween. Can't wait to see
the new helmets. I've always wanted them to get black ones to match the
uniforms, and now they have them. This Saturday will be the usual red, no black,
sorry. Go Utes!!
@wallbangerActually I think they are doing the black out game
"I'd say the (Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M) fan bases are a lot
more civil toward each other, if that's okay to say," Ogletree said.Further proof to me that BYU should discontinue games with Utah schools.
Let the Utah fanatics have their rivalry with Utah schools. BYU plays before an
much larger and different fan base.
Betting odds are actually a reflection of the betting public. Bookies or
odds-makers merely adjust the odds so that the bets balance out. If the bets
balance out then the bookies have no money at stake to lose which is what they
want. The odds were 4 points in the Utes favor until they lost to Utah State, so
the bets made after that game caused the bookies to shift the odds. Either way
it doesn't matter much because the winning line is less than a touchdown
which means it should be a very exciting game!
FDR...spoken like a true Idahoan...where BYU plays a few schools each year...They doing Idaho State or UofPotato this year? Don't look it up,
cuz no one cares...Utah 28-14...
Utefan 7 This is what I read on the U of U website, that the
blackout will be October 27th, unless they change it.
