Well Cougars, the Aggies have softened these poor puffed up Utes pretty much for you.

Please consider putting an asterisk beside the winning score with 'Aggie Assisted' by it!

You're welcome.

Utah is going to get blown out next week.

I can't stop smiling every time I think about this game. USU lost the OT games and the close games against good teams last season. I am thinking they will have a couple more wins than they did last year. Great job Aggies!

Maybe its like the guys calling the game said. Utah looks good on paper but their not very good on the field.

More of those Pac 12 recruiting advantages paying dividends-oops- wrong article.

Well, maybe it is a good thing for Utah that Kyle is too afraid to play them anymore. Tell him to try Weber St or Southern Utah.

Out manned, out ran, out gunned, outplayed.

End of story for Friday night.

Quite a send off from Logan to the Pacific Coast.

Is it not sacrilegious to speak of the BCS Utes in this way?

After all they have been anointed and admitted to the PAC 10+2.

Show reverence where it is due . . .

Eric Rowe's hamstring injury concerns me with Blechen out one more week. Two starting safeties gone if Rowe can't go against BYU.

Let's go Utah, turn it around, get a big win vs. BYU. Put USU out of your mind, know what you are capable of, and get this conference thing going after the rivalry boost this week.

PAC12 Commish can't be happy with Utah losing to a WAC team and Colorado losing to Sac St. On the other hand, UCLA and Arizona have to be pleasant surprises. Would anybody like to re-pick their predictions for the PAC12 South?

I think Brian Johnson has a terrific future as a coach and a terrific mind for football. But he's still in his mid 20's. It seems like he's not quite ready for the prime time as an offensive coordinator. I suspect the Utes will continue to struggle offensively. It's probably too late for a change this year, but Coach Whittingham and the university should do a national search for this position (and pay big time as a BCS conference member should) and continue with this coach to mentor Johnson. Again, I think he has a big-time coaching future but having this role right now seems premature.

I'm still going to take a wait and see although I am betting utah "fans" are really gripping right about now. Seeing ucla, osu and au, all opponents this year, beat teams that are assumed to be good, while utah is floundering around without a qb or offensive line and an offensive coordinator that is really anything but a legitimate offensive coordinator, probably has them crying.

Of course there is no way for us to know because none of them has posted on here since Friday morning. I'm guessing none of them will post on here again unless utah manages to beat BYU on Saturday. If so we'll hear from them then. If not they may not be back this year at all. The one we are least likely to hear from ever again is jenny83 although naval vet may have already erased his account.

LOL!

As for the game Saturday, expect a very close, defensive battle similar to what has been played the past few years, with a couple of notable exceptions like last season. The Aggies have a good offense, and they did last year. They moved the ball very well on most teams including BYU and Auburn. So them moving the ball against the Utes and scoring two touchdowns (in regulation), remember one TD was a special teams blunder by the Utes, should not be surprising. The Utes major concerns have to be offense and special teams. Their defense was mostly solid. The O-Line looks porous which isn't a good sign against BYU's front seven. However, BYU's own offensive line hasn't been that dominant against inferior defensive lines, now they face one of the best d-lines in the country. And will Nelson be 100?. I can't say who will win, and home field may help the Utes but any team winning by more than a TD would be surprising. Lastly, maybe karma is going against the Utes. The talk of dropping BYU and Utah State from schedule may be upsetting the football gods.

I'm hoping the Cougs don't think the game with USU will carry over into their game. The last thing they need is to take the utes for granted. I know they will come out trying to prove something. They will be more than motivated. The Cougars need to develop a killer instinct for the game.

Go Cougars!

I don't see BYU being over confident against utah this year. No way they can be after getting worked last year. I do wonder about utah though. Nothing utah's coaches or players has done indicates that they have the slightest bit of respect for any team not in the pac 12 or one of the other bcs conferences. Just like their "fans" it would appear that they have bought into the false premise that if you are in a bcs conference you are good and worthy and if you are not you are nothing to worry about. I doubt the loss to usu has done much to change their mindset anyway as they seem to think it was a fluke and they got robbed by the officials. I guess we'll find out on Saturday.

Isn't there something about pride going before a fall?

Why haven't I responded - spent a great weekend at Bear Lake! What a game! Great time there. We were there about one hour before they admitted fans so go to see USU tailgaiting with severn offers to join them. Great students - incredibly cute, 100% Aggie fans, noisy just the way college kids should be.

My Reactions to the game: From the pregame hype it should not have been close. It was and the best team that day won. Coach Anderson did a great job in game plans. (Did you notice how few plays through the middle of the line and how few long passes. Took away out defensive line advantage!) The biggest concern for me was the number of times the Aggies abused our quarterbacks. Noting illegal - just able to get great shots at them! The Utes made rookie mistakes. Premature snap, catching the ball on the 5 yard line and many more. That said I was so anzious to see the recording to hear the analysis and see the game again from another perspective. Only to have the recording stop will 1 minute to go in regulation. Did anything happen after that? Great game Aggies - costly loss Utes!

@who am i sir

Well that is ironic because the last minute of regulation and the o.t. was all I saw of the game. I went to a high school game Friday night and afterwards went to eat. The restaurant we went to had the game on and we got there with one minute left in regulation so that and the o.t. are what I saw.

Some stuff did happen, you may want to see if one of your buddies got it recorded.

Ducky, remember I was there so my question was tomgue-in-cheek. I really did want to hear the analysts comments regarding several plays after that point.

I did want to further expand on my original post. I believe the reason I was so impressed with the Aggie students was because I did not see one of them reading or watching a video on "How to be an AGGIE fan". Perhaps it is true that only one school's fan bas has to be "carefully taught" (As the song says.)

I have not seen one post by a Utah fan saying we "gave" the ball game away or that if it haddent been for the seven mistakes we would have won the game. I understand that reasoning has been legal protected by our next opponent.

Lastly, several have asked where are the Utes comments. I find this ironic as there were zero Y fans commenting on the article identifing the 21 Utes on NFL rosters, on opening day, compared to the 7 Utah State and & Y former players. But then again what could they say?

Looking forward to a great time on Saturday!

Utah was not cheated in any way Friday night. Contrary to BYU "fan", I'm not going to call a loss a fluke or anything else.

Utah got beat. Period.
