Comments about ‘Utah State Aggies end 12-game losing skid to Utah Utes with 27-20 overtime victory’

As a BYU fan, I remember hearing Ute fans get on BYU fans for rushing the field last year when we beat USU in a thriller saying that USU is an inferior school that fits BYU when it comes to scheduling (basically getting on BYU for there weak scheduling). Well....After tonight a newfound respect is earned by USU and both fans (Utah and BYU) need to come to the realization that USU is legit. As for my team (BYU) we better come ready to play the Aggies in October or we'll get flat out beat. But I think BYU has learned there lesson the last 2 games against USU not to underestimate them, but that being said I still worry a little about that USU game creeping up on us next month.

This is just amazing, considering Utah brought the regular PAC 12 Oficials with them. I heard on the radio they had their usual strange and mystifying calls against the PAC opponent in this game, too. What a zany thing that has become.

Congratulations to Utah State! I was a little surprised at how good you guys look. I only got to see the first half, and the Aggies dominated the Utes.

What we have learned so far this season:
Keeton is a great QB.
Wynn is not a great QB.
USU is good this year.
Utah's defense can be beat.
I was right in saying USU would have probably beaten Utah at least once in the past 2 years had they played, and that USU stood a chance today.

Utah losses to WAC. Colorado losses to Colorado State.

Conference of champions?

I am sorry, but that USU team is both well-coached and HIGHLY athletic.

Somehow I think we will see much more from this team before the end of the season.

What happened to all of those predictions that USU couldn't score a TD against the Utes?

Keeton is an amazing sophomore qb and the Aggie D is fantastic.

Way to go Utah State! That was a hard fought game and you came through when it counted. That blocked punt was so exciting!!

It was a hard fought contest and the Aggies were not to be denied this time. It was a thrilling victory for them and as a Cougar fan, I'm actually a bit disappointed in the outcome. As much as I'm happy for the Aggies, I'm sad because now the Utes are livid and angry and look who they'll vent that anger and frustration on next week? That's right, BYU! This cannot be good for the cougars for sure. As painful as it is right now for the Utes, it will be even worse for BYU if they loose next week to them. The thought of something like that happening again would be unfathomable. To Riley and our band of Sunday School boys, please, please, please don't give Chris B and others like him a reason to pile on us again. I don't think I can live another humiliation like we did last year.

Congratulations to Utah State on a big win. However, Aggie fans may feel they are still on the losing end when they find out that they are helping fund the UU athletic department to the tune of $10 million a year. Now with the huge TV money the BCS/Big 4 conferences are getting, why should any BCS team receive a single penny in taxpayer subsidies?

It is time for the Aggie fans to also get a win in the state legislature by the BCS subsidy being removed. Aggie fans deserve to have their tax dollars go to education, and not the support of a BCS athletic program that is rolling in money.

Wow, what a game. Utah's defense is the most overrated defense in the history of football. USUs defense was far better. USU came to play. If USU puts that effort into every game, they'll be hard to beat. They didn't do that last year, so can they do it this year?

Keaton is their offense. You stop him, and USU does very little on offense. This game was perfect for BYU players and coaches to watch. Utah will be mentally drained from this game, which gives BYUs senior-led and undefeated team a huge advantage. Mendenhall is great at focusing on one player and with the most talented defense BYU has had in a while, they can shut down Keaton.

If BYU beats Utah, that means the mighty PAC loses to two "wacky" teams in a row! Oh how sweet it would be! All Ute fans everyone where know this is very much a possibility.

What is with all the USU coaches cursing after a win? Not classy. I rarely even see that from big programs.

I am not a Whittingham fan and his insistance to start Jordan Wynn is a clear indication that he is unable to adequately judge his starting talent. Utah is better on offense without Wynn. Congratulations to Utah State for hanging in there and getting the monkey off of their back and winning the close game when it counted.

Before we crow too loudly cougs, let's remember we still have to play both of these teams and neither game is a gimme. Let's wait until we have something to back up the talk before we let it fly, because right now we have nothing.

Congratulations to USU on a game well played. Against a PAC-12 Utah team, USU looked like it also belonged in the PAC-12. I am happy for everyone associated with the USU win. Again, congratulations.
